I've said it before, and I'll say it again- WOOD is an ENTIRELY different in the best way compared to what it was 3 years ago. Thank YOU! Even when this place was good 4yrs ago or more, brunch was tragic. You know how in Chicago some places do dinner well but not brunch and vice versa?? Solo dining on a Friday evening. Good efficient service. The restaurant slowly filled up from 7. Good buzz. I had the escargot vol-au-vent for starter. The contents and puff pastry was covered by a cream sauce. Not sure why as the puff pastry was not as puff it could be. It was tasty with mushroom and onions.
