“Great, friendly female bartender. The only problem was, we wanted something to munch on but the kitchen was closed and it wasn't even 3. So we had something to drink, and had to go somewhere else. Otherwise, nice place, clean and friendly vibe.“

“I went to Honest Abe's for lunch on Halloween, based on recommendations from a pork tenderloin sandwich Facebook group to which I belong. Good tenderloins, or for that matter any tenderloins, in northern Illinois are hard to find. The decor gives appropriate credit to Abe Lincoln. So does this place having horseshoes and pony-shoes. For lunch I ordered the smaller, pony shoe. That was wise because it was huge. I had it with a pork tenderloin patty and some spiced-up cheese sauce. It was hot, tasty, filling, and tremendous. Patti, Christina, and Marissa (sorry if I misspelled any names) were the staff who helped me. They were very friendly and helpful. Ask for them when you go. When I get back to Morris, I will definitely return to Honest Abe's!“
“I love to eat here, I have never had anything I didn't like. The salad bar is small but well stocked and fresh. I tried fried chicken, steak on Tuesday, burgers and fish. The fish portion was small in my opinion, but tasty. Service is excellent and friendly and fast. Highly recommend and I gave it a 4 because of the portion of fish. The place is very clean, we even ate outside on the patio and it was clean. Steve (owner) came out to see if we were cold since the fans were blowing and it was raining.“
“I mostly come there in the mornings after working a 12hr night shift and Donna is usually there to take care of me and she's the best. I could hang out with her all day if it was possible. Although I don't really venture over there late on the weekends, I know it's not my type of crowd anyway. So I'm not really missing anything. But as long as Donna is there for me in the mornings, I'll continue to stop after a long night of work while on my way home“
“This used to be the place to go out to eat in Morris, but after the pandemic their entire wait staff is new and just not as good. Their food also has taken a big step back while the prices have gone up. They really need to overhaul the kitchen staff and watch the quality of food they're serving. Anything that's fried tastes like the oil hasn't been changed in years, some of the lettuce is brown and old. Turtles always used to have the best house salads but they don't even watch the freshness of the lettuce and onions they use. Until they totally revamp their practices I would stay away from here.Kid-friendliness: It's always been a nice atmosphere here and kid friendly but the food has gone way downhill“
“Usually good, but they forgot to put my order in with the rest of the table so I didn't get served until after the rest of the table was already done eating and even then, I got a plain chicken sandwich but had ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich.“
“Food is awesome! I always get the hoagie and fries, they never disappoint. The service is always great. The girls are always very nice. The service is always pretty quick too. They only take cash so, know that in advance. The prices are very fair though. 4 of us ate for $41 tonight. You get plenty of food and it's good. Definitely worth it. Give them a try if you're thinking about it. I would've included a photo of my food but it was too damn good! Didn't last long.“
