“I was blown away by the quality of the food at this restaurant. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive, making it an all-around amazing dining experience. I can't wait to go back.“
“One waitress for the whole tables area and our party of 16. She was a rock star. We had drink refills before asking. Our food was all hot and amazing! We were all sharing and couldn't get over how good everything on the menu seemed to be! Steak sandwich and cornbread was the winning vote, but the grilled chicken and grilled cheese, onion blossom, cheese sticks, and especially the Brussel sprouts were all huge hits!We celebrated 3 birthdays all at once. 70th , 48th, and 24th, it was truly a family affair! Thanks for putting us off in the corner to be loud and funny and not disturb others. It was the perfect setup! We brought in 2 cakes, and they were kept cool and ready for us to serve. They were even brought out before I had to ask as the meals were whining down.It was the perfect birthday for a very special set of birthdays!Once in a lifetime, would we be 1/2 the age of the other. Thanks for the amazing food and great setting.“
“All I got to say is wow! Ron Coomer did his research when he decided he wanted to open up a restaurant/bar... I'm usually not a fan of bar food so I was kind of hesitant of dining here, But I heard a Cubs player owned it So I said to myself okay. It's close to home, let me give it a try.. My daughter and I decided to go there on a Tuesday night. they had a good crowd and some entertainment..as I'm reviewing the menu I was intrigued from all the wonderful choices to choose from. .. You just want to order everything.. So we started off with the tacos which I would consider them more American tacos.. For the appetizer we had The ballpark nachos which was a hit .. I was saddened to hear that there wasn't any soup ,so we ended up ordering the buffalo chicken salad which was a home run . And two dinner entrees, pot roast with mashed potatoes and vegetables and their fish platter which were Grand Slams. There were a few things that I noticed being in the restaurant business for a long time. I really didn't have much information on this place when I walked in and I'm very analytical about preparation ingredients And presentation and I told my daughter this guy had to hire a chef to create all these entrees because normal kitchens don't put entrees together like this.. especially in a bar.. And I did my research and of course I was right... I do want to mention this. About The staff, it was getting busy and it seemed that they might have been short-handed and there was one girl. I'm not sure if she's a shift leader or a manager but she jumped in where it was needed, if the server wasn't able to get to the table, She started the table off.and continue to go around. Making sure everything was okay She was cool and collective... Working as a team....I love that You don't see that often... If you are planning to make your way there, make sure you check out their daily specials and craft beer. I will definitely be returning...“
“Marissa was out server. We were visiting family from out of town. She was super friendly and on top of things! Food was good enough, nothing like wow worthy. Would come back! Atmosphere and service is the difference maker here for sure!!!! Will come back to avoid in-laws!!!!!!“
“My husband and I have been here numerous times and it never disappoints. Phenomenal wait staff, food and drinks. From the person who greets you, to the person who cooks your food, to the manager who is very attentive, everything is perfection. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“My wife and I ate an early dinner there on March 4th, '24. Fantastic experience. The waitress was immediately available and took our drink order, also arriving with a platter of chips and warm Queso Dip. We ordered an appetizer of a flight/sampler of their Signature Egg Rolls, including one each of "Reuben", "Pulled Pork", and "Prime Rib". these came with an array of dipping sauces and were delicious! The Mrs. ordered a cup of the homemade chicken soup and the hamburger special. I ordered the Southwest Burger (burger with pepper jack cheese, bacon , a chipotle sauce and bleu cheese dressing on the side) with fries and what appeared to be home made coleslaw. Everything was delicious and of unexpected quality. As simple as french fries are to make, many establishments fall down on this simple task. These were hot, light golden brown, crisp on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. The burger buns were not the typical store bought mass produced buns but a nice quality raised roll!My only gripe about my meal was that I had asked for medium rare and I would say that I received a burger that was well done. With that said, I can't complain about it because the freshness and execution of everything else was perfect, AND I was given the specialty burger at the bargain daily special price! We will certainly be returning to this establishment to sample some of their other dishes!“
“My friends and family go to Sam’s Bar & Gaming every Monday night for ‘free & fun bingo’. It is always a great time !Kristi is a great bartender/server. Occasionally Kelly, the other bartender (usually works the day shift) sticks around to help out during bingo and is a fun and personable asset to Monday evening fun. It’s a friendly neighborhood bar, literally ‘where everyone knows your name’. They Offer bingo on Monday nights, from 6-8:00… free to play … A small menu.. but everything is delicious ! There are slot machines that have pretty big ‘pay outs’, a dart game, a golf game, and a pool table.Stop in and check it out ! It’s a friendly neighborhood bar and one of Homer Glens ‘hidden gem’…………“
“I come here once in a while for breakfast. I love their American breakfast. The potatoes are really good, the sausage is tasty and best to have a mimosa with my breakfast is great too. Great to see a bar serving breakfast food on the weekends. Change of atmosphere and great place to be at.“
“This is a great sports bar to hang out at and have a few drinks. I love it because it has a dart board. There is also a pool table here too. Came here last night with my bf to see the live band and play some darts. The food I give 5 stars to Mr. Beef’s beef sandwiches. I don’t know how Mugshots food tastes because I only come for Mr. Beef’s sandwiches. The live band was okay. They played good music but it was kind of hard hearing the singers voice. The drinks here are made well. Friendly and great customer service here.“
“Looking for something new we thought we’d try Front Row for carry-out burgers on Sat. With the expectation that it was likely we’d be disappointed. We are very picky eaters and have been looking for a GOOD burger in or around Homer Glen. We both had the build your own burger along with Parmesan Garlic fries and hot wings. We were told 20 minutes max and the order was ready when my wife arrived. Very pleasant male took and brought out our burgers. BOTH BURGERS WERE ORDERED AS “medium” as we had little faith that we get anything other than a well done burger. We were happily surprised to find that they were a good sized 1/2 Lb. cheddar, grilled onions and mushroom burgers with Chipotle mayo The garlic butter Parmesan fries were excellent too but I would ask for a little extra garlic butter on them. The hot wings were a complete disappointment. They appeared to be reconstituted from yesterday, were overcooked and very tough. If that’s an indication of “normal” then I would pass until more attention is given to this popular offering. I will stop by and discuss our experience with the owner soon cause you don’t know what you don’t know and Front Row is deserving of a little effort on my part to keep it open and improve the wings as well as to provide some VERY POSITIVE FEEDBACK on the burgers! They were simply OUTSTANDING! Best burger we’ve had in a long time! For comparison purposes we used to be regulars at the Country House (until their burgers went to hell (smaller, different type/blend of ground meat). Not the same as it was when it opened. Anyway, we stopped going there several years ago. Our other safe place was Claim Jumpers in Oakbrook. Another very reliable burger place. In short I wanted to go back the next day but decided on a planned attack instead where one of us would order a burger and the other one of the very tempting sandwiches they offer every time we go as a method of broadening our ordering options in the future. In short, if you have a taste for a burger, stop reading and just go! I will add more info as we test more entrees etc. ENJOY!“
“Stopped in to see some bands last night. The owner remembered me from my chemo party I had there 6 years ago. He is a great host. One bartender refused to let us order food even though kitchen was still open another hour. I noticed the cook and asked him, he said put in an order. Went to different bartender and she put in our order. The owner then came and brought us some delicious pickle spear fries. Good night!“
“Service from server was efficient and professional. Portoins for the Ruben Sandwiches and fries were very generous. Prices very reasonable for food and drinks in our party.Had a great St.Patrick's Day there! Their slot machines were very generous as well !We will definitely be back for lunch, drinks and slot machine fun!Parking: Large parking lot.“
“Was in Joliet and happened upon this bar and decided to stop. Best decision ever !!! The Bloody Mary’s are one of the best I’ve ever had and at a reasonable price ! They also had a nice choice of craft beers and a very welcoming bartender! We plan on stopping by every time we are in town !!!“
“My personal favorite place to go. Close to home friendly people and the drinks are average. It's a nice older bar and the locals visit here daily, but are always willing to welcome a new-comer. They do not offer food, but the attached Pizza place opens at 3:00 pm and has a great pizza and offers fast food.“
“I've heard alot of talk about this establishment in the Joliet area from locals. I know it's been open for years so I'm surprised it doesn't have more reviews. It's an old school neighborhood bar. It can easily be confused as a house. Small but cozy establishment with a great atmosphere. The bar features a fair variety of drinks. The bartender Jerry was also friendly. The bar has clean and really warm bathrooms. A beautiful patio and a pool table too! Prices are fair and parking isn't bad either. Always a fan of neighborhood bars like this so I wouldn't mind coming back“
“We were there for the burger special - really pretty good and great price. This was our first time in quite a while since we've been here.Service was great. The atmosphere was OK...oh the TV's were nicely placed, but the lighting and general ' vibe ' felt a little cold ...We'll be back in a week or two to check the place out again...“
“Fun little neighborhood place that often features live local talent. Although they don't serve food, they partner with the next door restaurant and have an order window inside the bar for customer convenience. Fun place with nice outdoor patio with band stage. Great place to meet up with friends.“
“I myself an a Ruben connoisseur, so if you like Ruben’s this is the place. The fried pickles, delicious, the loaded potato skins iconic. We got the food to go, we walked in and the food came out. Got home opened the food up and it was so beautiful. Eating this Ruben had to be the best thing ever. Also it was Saint Patrick day and this will be a new yearly tradition. But I probally need this sandwich at least once a month. The bartender on duty was beautiful and sweet. For a little place in the neighborhood I can’t believe it was this delicious. If you don’t live in crest hill it’s worth the trip. 100/10 would recommend“
“Tasha is amazing!!!! Great to have a bar do an LGBTQ night; just wish it was done on a busier night; doing it on a slow Wednesday night kinda screams how can we make money when it's dead~ let's see if the gays will gives us there money. But nonetheless they have it and promote it so much better then the other bars in the area.“
“Stopped in while in town. Drinks were very affordable. Absolut and sprite were only $4. Tvs were a little loud. One bartender was working, and she was seen cleaning the bar and dishware. It did take a little bit for a drink because she was solo. I didn't try any food on my visit.“
“First time here and it was amazing! 4 adults and one baby, seated right away. Service was top notch, super friendly. Food was really fresh and soooo good, better than we expected for an all-you-can-eat meal! Lots of options on the all-you-can-eat menu, too. Sushi, Mochi dessert, salad, and apps were all excellent. We will absolutely be back!“
“Great bar, pool tables, and ice cold beers.BEWARE OF JACOB! He is the local pool boy and if you beat him he will get very nasty! I think his parents are going through a divorce which would explain his temperament. You can tell that every things not okay at home and he’s taking out his frustration on the billiards table“
“My cousin took me here for my birthday and I had a great time!! The bartender, Shelly, was the sweetest, nicest person ever! She was so helpful at picking drinks for me. I haven't been to very many bars and I really don't drink but she helped me pick out a couple really good drinks! The atmosphere and the other people drinking at the bar was so good. Everyone was so nice and just wanted to have a good time. At a point I even met parts of her family. I love a family bar ? ? Thank you for an awesome birthday!! ???“
“I've lived in the area for quite a while and had never tried this establishment. A friend suggested it, and although hesitant, I joined the group. It was really nice! The drinks were great, and the wings were delicious. We played pool and darts while listening to choice music! Our waitress was attentive, and that made the experience even better. Good job, Stone City!“
“I cannot believe there are no reviews for this Boar's Nest classic rural outstanding bar they have a kitchen which you can clearly see from the bar and observe the cook and great beer and this is just a great rural dive bar setting which I have had on my Google Maps forever. I was not disappointed and Crow's Nest is among the most unique in Alabama type bar one will come across in Illinois and I highly recommend this place the food here is very modernly priced and they do not gouge the consumer like most corporate luxury restaurants“
“Honestly, this bar is my favorite bar. The bartenders are absolutely splendid! All of them! They 100% know what they are doing. It's comfortable in there, they know when you need a drink. You're NOT waiting 10 minutes to be noticed. You are noticed right when you walk in the door. I've been to a lot of bars. This place is the bees' knees (if that's how you spell it). I always feel safe and looked out for. Thank you Judges!!! LOVE YOU!!!“
“Typical sports bar. If you've never been there, the entrance of the place is facing north. We got the pigs skins which are pretty good. Had good amount of pulled pork and wasn't overwhelmed by the bbq sauce. Just didn't expect to only have 3 pieces. The mac & cheese has that thick cheese sauce and cavatappi pasta was the perfect type of noodles for this dish. Definitely was no leftovers. The wings are double the size of BWW, so I guess you can say they are jumbo size. But i was expecting bigger. They seem to grill with the sauce on, so it wasn't very saucy. But the flavors were there and was good. I got the buffalo sauce and it was more mild and not spicy.“
“jackie's is a great classic pub. good ambiance, cheap beer, and free popcorn. i needed a nonalcoholic drink option and they pulled through with a can of root beer and were even so kind as to offer me a cup of ice to go with it. they also have one of those fun digital juke boxes that you can pay to play songs on“
