“This was such a nice quiet place tucked away. The meal pictured was just 1 meal we split in half between the two of us. So it's safe to say they don't skimp on the portions. Our wait staff was very friendly and quick with our service. Would very much recommend this for those looking for a smaller town/mom and pop type atmosphere.“

“After seeing the review with Mr.Chimetime, I begged my husband to drive me almost 2 hours to this place, It was definitely a cool little spot. People were very friendly. But when it came to the food. Whew my feelings were hurt the brisket was flavorless and dry 😭 Nothing like what I saw in the review. Ribs were tender but i was not blown away by them, sides were the same as well. Maybe it was bad Timing but this was a big let down. Consistency is the key to a good restaurant. I will give them another chance, but I'm not in a rush to get there. I was wanting so much for this place to blow me away because I love food. And I was so excited to try them. 🥺“

“The best pizza I've had in the US, beaten only by the shit I had in Europe (Italy and Greece)—highly recommend the Beast of Burden. The brewery is quite cool, and their drinks are great. Nice live music. Definitely a must-visit place in Waterloo.“
“We’re regulars, but last night celebrated our wedding after party at Hummel’s. Dawn made sure we had some of our favorite beer and that she’d stocked up on what everyone would want. She started campfires, helped make our sparkler entrance happen, and even surprised us with fireworks. This is the kind of bar you trust with this special of a day.“

“Today was my first visit at Perk It Up! The owner is very sweet (we had a great discussion about Education). I’ll definitely be coming in more often! The S’Mores Latte is delicious! I’d definitely recommend coming in and supporting a local coffee shop!“

“Onesto is fabulous. We have been visiting for years, and it is always good. The pizza is really good and a large is very generously sized. They are known for their Sangria, which is constantly in rotation. All the kinds we have tried have been great. Their beer and wine selections are very good too.“

“It's my goto for Sunday football or Blues hockey. The food is always excellent, everyone seems to know everyone and makes it very inviting. The one minus on football it only blast one game on the audio and no music on halftime.
Parking: Don't park across the street at the daycare lot. ANYTIME They will towe your vehicle!
Kid-friendliness: It's a bar restaurant. Great for afternoon lunch and early dinners.

“I moved to St Louis 7 years ago. I retired 2 years ago. Something I decided I'd like to journey on was trying different restaurants in St Louis. My father is American and my mother is french. I've lived abroad off and on over the years. Last night me and a friend decided we'd try out Cafe Nova. I was completely overwhelmed with the absolutely amazing food. This is authentic and best quality meats and vegetables! The gorgeous hamburgers and chops that were coming from the grill was stunning! I truly thought I was in the Mediterranean! Cafe Nova is a piece of Mediterranean heaven. The servers were sweet and kind. Very helpful. The restaurant was lovely and clean. It boasts a lovely outdoor dining experience as well. In my 7 years of trying out different ethnic restaurants in St Louis...CAFE NOVA wins the Gold Ribbon for delicious and clean and friendly, comfortable and affordable restaurant here in St Louis! Just exquisite flavor combined with artistic creations. Your pallet will be soaring! The location is simple to get to, no hassle parking. St Louis has a gem at Cafe Nova!!“
“Was there for a private event. Food was catered in from another restaurant. The bar tenders were antisocial but did serve quickly. They didn't seem interested in being there. Atmosphere was great and I look forward to experiencing the outdoor area in warmer weather.

“Ate at Cafe Smoke Shack recently. The food was fantastic. Service was excellent and our waiter was very attentive. Giant portions, well prepared & we were all extremely pleased with our meal. "Stan, Matt & Marlowe were charming and cordial to all. The owner (Matt/Chef) is one of the nicest and most hospitable folks you'll ever want to meet. Truly cares about his customers. Stay clear of Bill... Why you ask? He was a smug, rude & a disingenuous individual. Brought in six (6) people & spent over $300.00 with no other customers dining that day. He acted like he did us a favor. All of the other employees were wonderful.“

“I did not eat there. I went for a wonderful Christmas market that had a big screen and Christmas cartoons playing for the kids as well as a large bubble machine. I bought all my holiday gifts , every booth was more creative and unique than the rest and the nicest vendors. I even met one vendor in a central location that evening because I had no cash left and she met me with her husband after I could go to the bank“

“Rockwell is in a beautiful park setting, but they have no indoor seating. It was a hot day, and they had fans but it was still warm. Not sure what they do in the cold weather. The beer was OK, but not my favorite. We probably wouldn't go back.
Parking: You have to park along the street and walk downhill to the brewery.“

“On our first trip to STL we wanted to try a Missouri style pizza and this little shop was right down the road from our Vrbo. The lunch specials were a great value. Our family ordered a few different items and we all sampled them. Everything we tried was tasty. Great job!“
