“Living Room has THE best coffee and breakfast in St. Louis. But that’s just what gets you in the door. What keeps you coming back are the amazing staff, inviting vibes, excellent work stations (for those of us who wfh but need to have people around), and community engagement. Seriously, they have the best cortados, seasonal drinks, and bacon. But they are also vegetarian and vegan friendly and have a great selection of teas and other drinks for weirdos who don’t drink coffee. I love knowing that visiting LR means my money is going to a family-owned small business who invest in their community and put people over profit. 10/10.“

“Maplewood Deli and Coffeehouse is my haven away from home where my dogs are treated like royalty. Frequent visits from my favorite guys Shane and Archie are always a delight. When I indulge, my absolute favorite is their lavender honey latte, the most soothing and relaxing drink I've ever savored. I adore their avocado toast, which may require a pinch of salt and pepper, but paired with eggs, sun-dried tomatoes, onions, and their other delectable options, it's a match made in heaven. Their breakfast sandwiches featuring herbal cream cheese are a game-changer - incredibly delicious and deserving of accompaniment with every order. The service is exceptionally friendly, kind, and welcoming, with the female owner being an absolute gem. She showers my dogs with love and attention, mirroring the top-notch care she provides to her customers. Undoubtedly, this is the ultimate coffee haven in Maplewood.“

“We loved the simple perfection of the sandwiches here. They don’t get too fancy with extra toppings or combinations, but the quality and selection is perfect. They have a classic array of sandwiches to choose from, and the 3 that we tried were great! The potato salad was also a nice compliment to the meal. My favorite sandwich that we tried was the Tommy. It was pretty busy so we had to have take out, but the food was still great.“

“It took us a while to be able to snipe a reservation and I can certainly see why they need them for dine in. They do not have a lot of tables at all. The food and drinks are absolutely amazing. The service was attentive and prompt. Be careful though since they don't have a lot of tables they do rely on people respecting the allotted time for their reservations. I'd probably do to go more just because the food is so very good and I don't necessarily need a sit down experience. I can't wait for them to move to tower grove east because then they'll have more tables.“

“I go to the Shack at least once a month. I was there recently and received excellent food and service. Jennifer was great server, nothing was too much trouble. She helped move all of our coats and bags in order to change our seats. She was cheerful and helpful. I bring my out-of-town guests here often. The menu includes healthy,creative, delicious entrees, and as well as gluten free options.“

“I was on lunch break was told food would be done in 10 minutes. waited 30. got back to work very late. To top it off the food was disgusting. I'm not sure if there was even a burger patty provided. what was om the sandwich was an over abundance of mayo and mustard like I guess I ordered a mustard and mayo sandwich. It was messy made the bun soggy and just all around gross. I was going to bring all my kidd back to eat and will NEVER EAR HERE AGAIN. A REFUND IS WANTED. 27 DOLLARS FOR 2 BURGERS 2 DRINKS AND 1 FRY AND THE PLAIN CHEESEBURGWR HAD ONIONS ON IT WASNT SUPPOSE TO. NEEDLESS TI SAY NO ONE ATE THEIR MEAL WE ORDERED ELSE WHERE AND I SUGGEST SKIPPING PAST THIS PLACE. NOT WORTH THE TIME IR MONEY WASTED.“

“First time and not the last time we dine here, God willing! 🙏🏼♥️🏁 Very busy place, but fantastic service, food, and experience! Josh answered the phone and was so helpful, friendly and welcoming! When we walked in Josh was on it, made us feel we were “regulars”, like he new us personally and Stacey, the hostess that seated us, was equally as welcoming and we were seated promptly. I don’t believe we got our kind servers name, but the beautiful young lady was on it as well. The chefs/kitchen were on par as well, hubby had one of the eggs Benedict with a side of biscuit and gravy, I had the Ranchers beef salad, one of the best beef and blue cheese salads I’ve EVER had, and believe me, I’ve had a “few” 😋🤫😊 Hubs also loved the huge coffee mugs his coffee and my Kahluah/hot chocolate(yum on this damp chilly day)were served in…this where my only complaint would be, my mug was chipped along the rim 😅 All that said, it was just a fantastic way to start our Sunday. Looking forward to sharing this spot with some more loved ones 🙏🏼♥️🏁“

The only complaint is I can’t have them on Sunday! :( We’ve tried to go back to other sandwich shops on a Sunday and it never compares to Gioia’s. “Without a doubt the best brewery in STL. Very English-style beers that are sessionable and top-notch. Do you know how to tell this place is proper? They have 1-2 beers ON CASK!!! You can barely find that in the US. When we have visitors this is the brewery to take them to. Also, you can get a half-pint for exactly half the price! That is so unbelievably awesome and rare these days.“

“Awesome food, it was my first time ever hearing about and trying alligator cheesecake, but it is one of my foods now. Great service. The band that began playing around 8:30pm sounded like it was going to be a great time, but it was unfortunately time for us to leave. Only knock against it is the table we were sat at was directly under a heater, so we were all sweaty and felt we were getting slow cooked.“

“We were in town (from the Twin Cities) for the 2025 President's Day Classic, and had Hogtown Smokehouse cater a team (and parents) dinner for 30 in our hotel. Rico was fantastic in helping us out. Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service. The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. Mac & cheese, potato salad and beans for sides. EVERYTHING was amazing! I never right reviews, but Rico and staff deserve this one. If you're reading this, don't hesitate to give them a try. “I’ve ignored this place over the decades, assuming it was a typical dive bar. A friend assured me the food was great and I should try it. Understatement! Believe it or not I’m a hypercritical person but I could find no fault at Michael’s. During both of my visits, everything everyone ordered was cooked and seasoned beautifully. So far I can highly recommend the Greek salad (standout among the large number of Greek salads I’ve tried), the rack of lamb and the galaktoboureko - a house-made dessert consisting mainly of a fluffy custard and phyllo dough. Even the side vegetables and rice were wonderful. The beer and wine selection was good as well and I wrote down my wine to look into buying a bottle. The many servers were extremely busy and professional and our server Amy did a helluva job. Large rack of lamb with sides, entree-sized Greek salad, two beers, wine and dessert for only $80 -which for the quality of our dinner was quite a bargain. Generic name belies quality cooking and serving! Pass it on!“

“I went here some time ago and ordered a few beers as part of some anniversary promotion they were doing. In my head I was thinking id get a couple tall boys or IPAs or something, but I was shocked to see the total at like $40-$50. I was freaked out until they pulled out these large wine bottles of beer.
They were delicious and well worth the money“
