“I had a 12 oz ribeye. The steak had good flavor but was very small and thin. I think they gave me the 8oz steak. My wife had a chicken breast and said it was just ok. We both had a side salad and it was big, a meal of its own.”

“This little gem in the small town of Carmi, IL was outstanding. The food was excellent with good portions, the prices were reasonable, our waitress couldn't have done a better job, and the service was quick. My husband even joked that our food was served so quickly that you would have thought we called our order in. The Coffee Shop was recommended by a friend who lives in Carmi and his recommendation was spot on. I would definitely return if we're ever in the area again and I would highly recommend this place.”

“I highly recommend stopping here-- especially if you are traveling with kids. The food was very good. The chicken strips may be the best I've ever had. I rated this 4 stars for food only because my husband said the pulled pork sandwich was a little dry, but everything else our family had was excellent! The decor is super fun and very well done in the "Western Saloon" theme. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean, and the service was excellent.

If you have the time, there is also a mini golf course on site, as well as a laser shooting range. We didn't do the shooting range this time so I don't know the cost for that, but the mini golf was reasonably priced, IMO, at $10/ person for 18 holes (you can also opt to only do 9 holes, or all 27 holes of mini golf).

Kid-friendliness: In addition to the restaurant having kid-friendly menu items (grilled cheese sandwich, chicken strips, & applesauce to name a few) there is an awesome playground out front to help your little travelers get some wiggles out. The mini golf & laser shooting range are a lot of fun for families too.”

Speed of service was on par and quality of packing for the road as an OTR driver is super important and they really brought it home here. I wasn't sure if they would just throw everything into a tray or actually stack the items. Each burrito is well packed and easy to eat while working.”

“We had lunch at Red Geranium. I had the salad with grilled chicken. It was very fresh mixed greens as we're the cucumber and tomatoes. Several people at the table ordered the reuben and said it was very good. Our server was great! He has been there for over 20 years. Price was just right. “I went in there for a quick lunch. The lady that made our sandwiches did them in less than 5 minutes, and she did 3 sandwiches!!! I paid around $60 for 3 sandwiches, 3 bags of chips, 1 bottle of soda, and 6 cookies!! I'd say a good experience overall”
