“Five stars all around for this wonderful restaurant! As first time diners we weren't sure what to expect as all dishes are gluten-free, however every dish was delicious and satisfying. Our party started with 2 very tasty appetizers of Mussels and Cheese Curds. We then enjoyed the House and Seasonal Salads, both having a wonderful honey mustard vinaigrette. For an added touch, the Seasonal Salad was topped with goat cheese. I can't say enough about our entrees. Not only were the presentations well done, all tasted as wonderful as they looked! The Skate Wing with Snap Peas was a mild white meat fish, with caper brown butter sauce. The Short Rib was perfectly done and topped with brown sugar glaze. The Hanger Steak, ordered medium rare, had a roasted peppered chutney, charred on the outside, and two roasted whipped sweet potatoes. Our meal was topped off with the Julian's Frozen Custard dessert and espresso. The restaurant itself is somewhat small, with a cozy and charming feel to it so reservations are a must! Our service thruout the evening was exceptional so kudos to the attentive staff. A final note there is additional parking across the street so take advantage when the main lot is full. Will definitely be dining here again!“
“This place definitely deserves over 5 stars. Beautiful and cozy atmosphere, very friendly staff, never a long wait, and there açaí bowls are top tier. I drove over an hour an half away for açaí bowls in libertyville. I happened to stumble across this place which is now only a 40 min drive. You guys have fresh fruit and definitely give what you pay for.“
“Wonderful food & service. We got there at 4:20 for a very early dinner since we had to be at a game at 6 PM. We did not make a reservation because it was so early. They were booked solid, but we were fortunate to get a table. Dillon, our server, was terrific. The food was delicious. We will definitely be back, but next time, we will be certain to make a reservation!“
“This charming sandwich shop is a MUST for anyone traveling or living in Illinois! We went there for our first time just after Christmas and had an Outstanding rueben and Scrumptious turkey club. “My Wife and I got our wedding cake from Cheshire Cakes, they gave us exactly the vision we had in mind for our wedding cake! It turned out perfect, we would highly recommend Cheshire Cakes!! They were such a pleasure to work with, and even delivered the cake and set up our cake toppers, we did not have to worry about a thing!“
“The food always comes out fast and it's incredible. I haven't ordered anything here that I don't like. They also have great cocktails. The wait staff is always incredibly friendly and polite. The restaurant and the restroom are always incredibly clean. It can be a bit busy in the mornings on the weekends. I would definitely recommend, they also have an ever changing specials menu. I would give it five stars but it's getting four because I live too far away this spot is a real brunch winner though!“

“Love eating at this place! Great food for either dining in or carry out. On Tuesdays the dining area is closed and they just have a drive-through "buy one get one free" pizza deal which we participate on a regular basis. The workers are very friendly and food is always good. Also they have peanuts you can eat and toss the shells on the floor which pairs well with the Northwoods, rustic themed atmosphere.“
“Had an Asiago, sun dried tomato, rosemary scone from Konrads today. I was a bit on the fence about ordering it since they were out of most everything (late in the day before Easter) , and there were a bunch of only this flavor left. Got one anyway. Omg it was BOMB!!! Sooo good, so flavorful I loved it. Highly recommend this savory scone in particular, although, all of their scones are great. Heavenly. A+++“
“Mountain of praise for Montarra The experience was very pleasant. This was our second time here and, to be honest, we only returned because we had a gift certificate. But we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. Service: Excellent. Both wait staff and hostess team seemed very engaged, from when I made the reservation to when we stepped into the restaurant and even when we left. Our waitperson was efficient, polite, and knowledgable. Food: was really outstanding (we had bouillabaisse and a special risotto dish with scallops). The menu was varied and interesting - I often gauge a restaurant by looking at the menu and having a difficult time making a selection because many items looked good. I liked that they had a quality menu with several selections that seemed creative. The quantity of items was also just right. Not too many, not too few. Other: When they took my reservation, they asked if it was a special occasion. I said it was for my husband's birthday. They asked his name - I didn't really know why but told them. When we were seated, I realized why. They had printed a special version of the menu with a happy birthday note to my husband. It was a very inexpensive, clever, and simple, yet meaningful step. We were impressed. We would definitely return - even without the gift certificate.“

“Elder and Oat provided donuts and coffee for dessert at our wedding at the BRIX and the spread of donuts were not only so beautiful but so delicious! We had no leftovers with even ordering enough for the size of our wedding because people couldn’t get enough! We highly recommend using them as your dessert vendor for your wedding!“
“The food was fantastic! Fresh, healthy, and tasty. They offer a tasting of an item before you order if you're uncertain whether you'll like it. The Moroccan eggplant, carrots, hummus, and falafel were especially great. I'm a huge tabouleh/tabouli fan, but their's was not my favorite; same for the babaganoush as it lacked smokiness. That said, it's a personal flavor and texture preference and I'm sure it's good for others. It's a very small place; a few seats are available in the general common area of this building just outside the restaurant; I think it is primarily a take-away place. I will mention that the flow to the ordering/waiting/ serve/ self serve processes were a bit awkward. I'd mentored to the employee that we'd not been there before, but the person behind the counter expected us to know how they do things and didn't communicate their expectations until after they see you're not doing as they expect, e g., you don't wait for your hot drink but sit outside of the restaurant and they bring it to you, the rice which is on the salad menu and an item that we expected as part of the large sampler is actually not one of the salad options for the samplers but they provide an item that isn't even on the salad list (I had the employeepount out each item provided as they're kinda' mushed together; they bring your food to you but you get your own plasticware, napkins, cup. Don't get me wrong, it's obviously not hard, but if you don't know what's expected, it makes for service awkwardness. Street parking was fairly easy, but if it was busy on the square I expect parking would be difficult. Despite the few oddities, I'd definitely return and highly recommend for vegetarians and vegans.Vegetarian options: The restaurant offers vegetarian and vegan selections.“

“Chop Suey Hut's entrees are the best chinese I've had around. The drunken spaghetti was the definite winner and SO flavourful, but the basil chicken was also yummy. Maybe the best crab rangoon I've ever had. Entrees were $15-$16 and portions remind me of places that serve family style - each one was 3 meals. Our waitress was fabulous. We will definitely back!“

“I used to eat here about once a week. Sharon was a good manager and the Mac n Cheese used to be really good (about a year ago). Our most recent visit we ordered Mac n Cheese and it was plain noodles with some shredded cheese sprinkled on top. Not what we were expecting our kids were disappointed.
