We walked in the door and were hit by a strong musky mold smell. We left quickly.
Went to Sloans. Sloans staff are epic. Their pizza and bread sticks are amazing. Bartender always has a good cider on tap. The place doesn't smell like mold.

If you’re looking for a family friendly pizza place with a thoughtful menu and excellent pizza, EAT HERE! My kids loved the pizza and I was so happy to see a gluten free option on the menu. The owners were friendly and the restaurant is super cute! It’s about time Downtown Decatur got a restaurant like this!

I visit the area twice a year and the previous visit after the move to the new location seemed that the menu had shrunk and there was only one option but visiting August 2024 the menu has multiple vegan options back as sandwich or pizza and the vegan Antipasto. The Paul McCartney pizza is so good I almost wish I’d tried it as a sandwich too! You can also build your own vegan pizza.
The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about vegan items and the atmosphere is still good and perhaps a little more upscale than the previous location. Donnie’s will stay on my must revisit list
Re: red sauce issue, I didn’t ask about the possible parm in red sauce mentioned below but the vegan option I had on the menu didn’t have sauce anyway

Let's just say. I will never go there again! Did not get the two pizza's we ordered. Sat there for an hour and a half. People that came in after us got served and were done eating before telling us they were sorry and they would give us a discount. We got up and left. First time in my life I got up and left a restaurant because of lousy service.
