McDonald's in Decatur

“Place was very busy. I had 6 people in front of me, waiting on orders. It still only took 10 minutes. Impressive.
They did forget my cup and it was tough to get anyone's attention to get one. Place was clean but not spotless and the food tasted great.

“I've been coming here for a while now and the experience is pretty consistent. I ask for one burger with no pickle and mustard and one with everything on it and they always get that right. In the past I've had to fight with other McDonalds for them to get that right, but not this one. The food is always good which is why I always come back. They also always arrange their chicken nuggets neatly in the box. Such a small meaningless detail but for some reason I still appreciate it.

However, I highly recommend that you do not go inside to order or pick up food. Instead use the app to set up a curbside pickup or use the drive-through for best results with their service. You can also get that 20% off for all app orders which is even more incentive to not order inside.

I've only done this a couple times, but whenever I go inside there's nobody at the front desk. I had an experience where I used the app to set up a pickup order inside. I went in and grabbed my order from the pickup desk. They forgot my drink so I spent 5-10 minutes at the front desk waiting to be helped. Nobody came so I had to stop someone as they were walking by. They hand me a cup and I go to fill it with sweet tea, but they are out, so I spent another 5-10 minutes trying to get someone else's attention again because nobody came to help me at the desk. It just felt like everyone was focused on drive through and curbside dropoffs and there was 0 priority around helping people at the desk.“

“The food was hot and fresh as usual. I'm old enough to remember the days when their slogan was " change back from your dollar". You could get a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink for less than a dollar, we all know those days are long gone...

Vegetarian options: Not the place for vegetarians.

Parking: I usually go through the drive up but there is plenty of parking available most of the time.“

“I frequent this location because they are usually steady with business. That means my food is more likely to be fresh & hot off the grill! Well, nobody's perfect, and that's ok. I do know if it's too wrong, they will make it eight. The employees at the drive thru seem upbeat and provide excellent customer a majority of the time. Hats off to them!“
