Very, very clean place!!! All the work they have done is amazing!!! The back patio looks like it is going to be THE place to hang out!!! Beautiful facility!!!! I live several hours away, but hope to come back soon!!!”

“My daughter and I visited today for the first time. A very welcoming environment and kid friendly. I got the frozen cookie which was delicious! And my daughter got two scoops of birthday cake ice cream with gummy worms and sprinkles which she loved! And we got 4 bottled drinks all for under $20! Great prices, friendly people, and delicious treats! 10/10 recommend”

“Excellent food and atmosphere. We ordered a sea bass , a prime rib and some appetizers. Steak lollipops , pheasant civet were very tasty. We got a tiramisu as a birthday cake, however we had our own cake with us. Blake took excellent care of us , he arranged a knife and water to slice the cake, extra plates.
We were looking for a fine dining in Carbondale, it wasn’t easy but we got a last minute reservation. As Chicagoans we are little spoiled with good places to eat, and Ruthie’s Steak & Seafood was a great place to go.
The restaurant is very nice so rather is better to overdress than underdress. Our waiter was very elegant. Thank you Blake for the wonderful service.”

“We had a fantastic dinner at The Grecian Steakhouse – a real gem for a small-town restaurant!
The salad bar was one of the highlights: fresh, plentiful, and constantly restocked. It was an unexpected bonus that kids eat free from the salad bar – a huge win for families. I was especially impressed with the house lemon dressing; it was bright, tangy, and absolutely delicious.
My wife and I both ordered steaks. Hers came out a touch more done than she asked for, but it was still tender and flavorful enough that she happily cleaned her plate. Mine was cooked perfectly.
Our server was outstanding – friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the meal. Great food and even better service made for a wonderful evening. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town!

“Today was my 1st visit after so many friends recommended it. First off she is so sweet. All the food is from fresh ingredients. We got sweet and sour chicken absolutely the best I've ever tasted. Beef lo mein and 12 of her famous egg rolls. The egg rolls are incredible and the size of a burrito. We will be back! It is excellent”

“BJ's garden inn is a really great restaurant to have a hot home cooked meal. The servers are so polite and attentive. The cooks did great on my grilled chicken sandwich it was literally perfect. Although I'm disappointed it's no longer a buffet but I'm delighted it's still the best chicken place in duquoin.. best chicken in perry county.”

“Ordered chef’s salad! Didn’t get any other ingredients except lettuce for the $13.00 no meat ingredients included. Had to pay extra $3.82 extra. Being served on a dinner salad plate!!!!! With taxes paid about $20.00 chef salad. There was a lot of chicken though and one egg. SMALLEST CHEF SALAD, I know I’ve ever been soaked for. They’ve always had good portions before.”

The staff went above and beyond to quickly Make me a replacement during a busy rush. I felt terrible but they were very kind about it. The cake actually ended up being cuter than the one I ordered.
