“My daughter and I visited today for the first time. A very welcoming environment and kid friendly. I got the frozen cookie which was delicious! And my daughter got two scoops of birthday cake ice cream with gummy worms and sprinkles which she loved! And we got 4 bottled drinks all for under $20! Great prices, friendly people, and delicious treats! 10/10 recommend”

“Excellent food and atmosphere. We ordered a sea bass , a prime rib and some appetizers. Steak lollipops , pheasant civet were very tasty. We got a tiramisu as a birthday cake, however we had our own cake with us. Blake took excellent care of us , he arranged a knife and water to slice the cake, extra plates.
We were looking for a fine dining in Carbondale, it wasn’t easy but we got a last minute reservation. As Chicagoans we are little spoiled with good places to eat, and Ruthie’s Steak & Seafood was a great place to go.
The restaurant is very nice so rather is better to overdress than underdress. Our waiter was very elegant. Thank you Blake for the wonderful service.”

“Today was my 1st visit after so many friends recommended it. First off she is so sweet. All the food is from fresh ingredients. We got sweet and sour chicken absolutely the best I've ever tasted. Beef lo mein and 12 of her famous egg rolls. The egg rolls are incredible and the size of a burrito. We will be back! It is excellent”

“BJ's garden inn is a really great restaurant to have a hot home cooked meal. The servers are so polite and attentive. The cooks did great on my grilled chicken sandwich it was literally perfect. Although I'm disappointed it's no longer a buffet but I'm delighted it's still the best chicken place in duquoin.. best chicken in perry county.”

“I love authentic Jamaican food, and when I see The Caribbean Hut Food Truck parked in the parking lot of the Staples store in Carbondale, IL, I always stop for some good food. The owner, Freeman, brings the flavors from his restaurant located at 300 S Maple, Cambria, IL 62915, to Carbondale and surrounding areas on the food truck. Let me tell you something: the food is fresh, hot, and flavorful! The service is always friendly and prompt, the ambiance created by eager customers is lovely, and the portion sizes are plentiful. I can usually eat my meals for two days. The food truck menu varies weekly, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend you stop by when you see this little food truck in town or head to the restaurant. When you go by, tell them Kindra Speech sent ya!”
