We were drawn to the thoughtfully created menus - rotations of unique menus that tell a story via the tastes of places; as well as the dietary options (vegan, gluten free, etc) that make it accessible and tasty for all. The tea and food were amazing, the shop is so cute, and the staff were so kind. A great experience all around!”

“Stayed at the doubletree hotel and was very pleasantly surprised how great the food was at Osteria Italian restaurant. We dined here two nights in a row because it was so delicious. Julio our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Made our first evening at the restaurant memorable. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and Caesar salad. It was wonderful. I had plenty of leftovers and can’t wait to enjoy the other half when I get home. My husband ordered rigatoni with chicken and the soup of the day. He had plenty left over for another meal also. Had two Tiramisu martinis and unfortunately ran out of room for dessert. The second night we sat in the bar for happy hour. Joey, the manager remembered us and made us feel like we were friends dining at his home. Handsome gentleman and incredibly friendly. Tony the bartender managed a full bar of people yet was very available to take our order. Happy hour is a great deal with $7 martinis and affordable large appetizers. Luckily we saved room to share a piece of Tiramisu. Absolutely divine. Can’t wait for our next visit to Chicago to dine here again. Highly recommended.”

“Barrelman's Room is my go-to place on a Friday or Saturday night when I want delicious cocktails and cozy ambiance so I can actually talk to my friends & hear each other. It's usually pretty easy to get a table, the staff is helpful with recommendations and I love the "secret" feel of it. I recommend it to anyone who wants a night out without a long line or wait. You won't be disappointed!”

“We had a private 70th Birthday at the Downer’s Grove location last weekend The food (buffet) was great, and the service was top notch. Our server Rocky and his team were on top of every detail. Our 55 guests were taken care of like we were family. I’d highly recommend this restaurant for your events!”

“My husband and I celebrated valentines day early today, I made reservations online which was extremely easy and even had add on options like rose petals on the table! Super cute idea! Ended up having to change reservations due to snow and that was also super easy done online! Our first ever experience at the melting pot and upon arrival the hostess were very welcoming and our sever/waiter was friendly and informative while explaining how everything works. We chose the big dinner for 2 which was a 4 course meal. The spinach artichoke cheese fondue was prepared right infront of us and was absolutely delicious!! The meats and broth were also surprisingly delicious (i was skeptical just boiling my meats, but the flavors soaked into the meats and veggies perfectly seasoning them!) Then onto the chocolate, we chose the turtle chocolate, Carmel and candied pecans. We were almost maxed out but made out way through! 10/10 overall we will be returning customers for sure. Walking out about to leave the owner Mike asked introduced himself and thanked us for dining and made sure our experience was what we expected! Oh, and lastly whoever decided to put candied pine nuts on a Cesar salad is a genius!!!”

“What a great bottle shop! I came to this shop specifically for a couple styles that were in stock as well as to pick up some Oktoberfest styles from breweries not available in my area. Really friendly proprietor with a clearly marked bottle selection. Prices were actually impressive! I've been to other bottle shops that were smaller and far more expensive. Enjoyed a tap at the bar as well. It was early on a Tuesday, so pretty quiet. I am sure the weekends get crazy. I even lucked into a parking spot right out front!”

“I ordered the Berry Bliss crepe which was delicious and very fresh. I did wait for a long time to receive it but it was worth the wait because of how fresh it was. The reason I am giving four stars and not five is because the pumpkin spice latte was not great. I will definitely come back to try a different flavor crepe.”

“I had my wedding shower here in their private section of the restaurant. We had around 45 guests and it was amazing. The staff were amazing, especially Andrea and Tricia, the food was great and the bloody Mary’s were so tasty! Highly recommend having your private event here!”

There was a family whose kids were misbehaving on the back patio, throwing rocks and potato chips all over the place, and these parents absolutely inappropriately crashed out on the bar staff after another patron complained. Even though this couple was clearly looking for a comp on their check, the staff handled it like absolute pros. 10/10 would come back here in a heartbeat.

This will now be a mandatory stop each time I visit Chicago, and the free parking garage with ample space virtually next door makes this an easy choice. Went back second time with a relative, got the shrimp diablo......should have taken the server's advice about the heat, but I didn't, therefore I suffered 🥲 the consequence......she was awesome though and had the heat taken down for me. Owner came out to greet guests and was super sweet. This place is a hidden jewel that has some of the best Mexican food in the area. I would say take my word for it, but being that you probably don't know me, don't take my word for it, go try it for yourself!!”

“Five Guys lived up to their reputation. Tuesday, 5/15/18, was my first time at the Downers Grove location. That Bacon Cheese Burger was great. Just as expected from the many Chicago locations in the past. The two young men on duty offered service with smiles.”

“Reliably the best tasting chicken dinners in the region. It's not too spicy so you can taste the always well cooked but moist chicken. This has been a real treat for me to eat for over 50 years now. Nothing better than a bag of hot fritters for the long drive home. The Downers Grove Take Out restaurant has a bit of nostalgic equipment, but if they sold merch as well, they might do even better business.”

It was so good and colorful. The soup was really good too! I was a little scared to come at first because it was so close to closing time but I immediately felt reassured as soon as the man came on the speaker to take my order! The owner was in the drive-thru and he was nice, the food was fresh (bread was still soft close to midnight) you can tell he really cares about his restaurant!!! Thank you!”

“Great employees! As I was leaving the Starbucks at target I dropped my original drink and having two small children with me I didn’t want to drag them back into the store to get a replacement. I called this Starbucks on the off chance that they’d replace it (since it has a drive through I wouldn’t have to get everyone out of the car) and they said it wasn’t a problem! “We were big on the Chili's resurgence but our last few visits have left us wanting. Overall the menu has been shifting away from what was bringing people back in and I have found that the food quality has started to slip back to the mundane. The servers are always top notch and have been great. But the food has once again become the cookie cutter fast food option.”
