We were drawn to the thoughtfully created menus - rotations of unique menus that tell a story via the tastes of places; as well as the dietary options (vegan, gluten free, etc) that make it accessible and tasty for all. The tea and food were amazing, the shop is so cute, and the staff were so kind. A great experience all around!”

“Sushi City is by far my favorite sushi restaurant. I have been coming here for years and the place only has gotten better. They just completed their third remodel. Now the restaurant has a super sleek and modern aesthetic. They also increased the number of booth seats they have.

This is an all you can eat (AYCE) sushi restaurant and their selection is huge. You get the usual appetizers, nigiri, and basic maki rolls that you would expect from a AYCE sushi restaurant, but this place gives you more! They have always allowed you to order their specialty rolls (their best roll being the torched dragon roll), but they recently added carpaccio plates, ramen, and dessert. Their prices have gone up over time, but I still consider them a great value for everything that they offer you.

And it is not just about quantity and variety. This restaurant upholds its quality. Other AYCE sushi restaurants give you lower quality fish and hide it by smothering it under lots of heavy sauces. But at Sushi City you can taste the quality of their fish (just order a salmon or tuna nigiri and taste how fresh it is).

The wait staff also is amazing. They are super prompt with everything. This place used to have a robot that served the appetizers. It was a fun novelty. The robot disappeared after the last renovation. Hopefully it will come back some day..

I hesitated to write this review since my home town is Downers Grove and this place is pretty well known to those in DG. However, you should know this place is amazing. The evidence of this is that it is the only surviving store front on that side of the strip mall they are located and another AYCE sushi restaurant (that is a fairly well known chain) that used to compete with them on 75th street closed down awhile ago. I love it at Sushi City and hopefully you will too.”

“This Uzbek restaurant is amazing if you want to try new Halal cuisine. Give them try a had chicken shish kabob with rice was very tasty and also had mastsava soup was good.

“Well put together deep dish. Average cost for a 14’ at around $50 with 2 toppings and extra cheese.

Sausage toppings are chunky and taste like quality cuts. It has a good ratio that holds the sauce and toppings from sliding. Might be the ‘extra cheese’ I ordered, but all around good proportional pizza.
The bottom crust has a fluffy butter feel. the end crust taste a bit doughier than I’ve had.
Tasty pie without overpowering sauce, cheese. Yummmy!”

“Deleted a 1 star review to replace it with a 5 star. I booked a rental at 11:30am to take some swings at a place with some feed back and that wasn’t outside with this recent heat wave and rain. Got to the location and it was still closed. Frustrated, I left the 1 star review. A few hours later I was contacted by Andres the manager at xgolf downers grove and he explained the mix up and apologized. Nowadays that goes a long way. Mistakes happen and it’s really refreshing when a company takes this approach. Thank you Andres for reaching out, it shows your commitment to the brand and to making sure that everyone that comes through the door has a top shelf experience.”

“We had a private 70th Birthday at the Downer’s Grove location last weekend The food (buffet) was great, and the service was top notch. Our server Rocky and his team were on top of every detail. Our 55 guests were taken care of like we were family. I’d highly recommend this restaurant for your events!”

“Stayed at the doubletree hotel and was very pleasantly surprised how great the food was at Osteria Italian restaurant. We dined here two nights in a row because it was so delicious. Julio our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Made our first evening at the restaurant memorable. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and Caesar salad. It was wonderful. I had plenty of leftovers and can’t wait to enjoy the other half when I get home. My husband ordered rigatoni with chicken and the soup of the day. He had plenty left over for another meal also. Had two Tiramisu martinis and unfortunately ran out of room for dessert. The second night we sat in the bar for happy hour. Joey, the manager remembered us and made us feel like we were friends dining at his home. Handsome gentleman and incredibly friendly. Tony the bartender managed a full bar of people yet was very available to take our order. Happy hour is a great deal with $7 martinis and affordable large appetizers. Luckily we saved room to share a piece of Tiramisu. Absolutely divine. Can’t wait for our next visit to Chicago to dine here again. Highly recommended.”

“Food and service are both excellent. Greeted with a smile, food is made to order, so no microwaved dish......I had chicken/shrimp fajitas the first visit and they were DELICIOUS!! Went back second time with a relative, got the shrimp diablo......should have taken the server's advice about the heat, but I didn't, therefore I suffered 🥲 the consequence......she was awesome though and had the heat taken down for me. Owner came out to greet guests and was super sweet. This place is a hidden jewel that has some of the best Mexican food in the area. I would say take my word for it, but being that you probably don't know me, don't take my word for it, go try it for yourself!!”

“Barrelman's Room is my go-to place on a Friday or Saturday night when I want delicious cocktails and cozy ambiance so I can actually talk to my friends & hear each other. It's usually pretty easy to get a table, the staff is helpful with recommendations and I love the "secret" feel of it. I recommend it to anyone who wants a night out without a long line or wait. You won't be disappointed!”

“My husband and I celebrated valentines day early today, I made reservations online which was extremely easy and even had add on options like rose petals on the table! Super cute idea! Ended up having to change reservations due to snow and that was also super easy done online! Our first ever experience at the melting pot and upon arrival the hostess were very welcoming and our sever/waiter was friendly and informative while explaining how everything works. We chose the big dinner for 2 which was a 4 course meal. The spinach artichoke cheese fondue was prepared right infront of us and was absolutely delicious!! The meats and broth were also surprisingly delicious (i was skeptical just boiling my meats, but the flavors soaked into the meats and veggies perfectly seasoning them!) Then onto the chocolate, we chose the turtle chocolate, Carmel and candied pecans. We were almost maxed out but made out way through! 10/10 overall we will be returning customers for sure. Walking out about to leave the owner Mike asked introduced himself and thanked us for dining and made sure our experience was what we expected! Oh, and lastly whoever decided to put candied pine nuts on a Cesar salad is a genius!!!”

“First visit to Angelo's Pizza, got a Chicago thin with pepperoni, hamburger, pepperoncini, and garlic...best pizza I've ever had, and I've been to numerous Chicagoland and east coast parlors. This will now be a mandatory stop each time I visit Chicago, and the free parking garage with ample space virtually next door makes this an easy choice. Thank you to the hard working pizza crafters and friendly staff. Wow. Amazing!”

I called this Starbucks on the off chance that they’d replace it (since it has a drive through I wouldn’t have to get everyone out of the car) and they said it wasn’t a problem! They replaced my drink free of charge and were very caring throughout the transaction. Thank you Sam! And all the other Starbucks employees!”
