I went to use the restroom real quick and by the time I got back, our drinks were already on the table! Food was delicious and Kyle our server was very personable and attentive! UPDATE 8/10 this time i had the classic chicago hotdog and sweet potato fries! Unfortunately this time around the hot dog was not all that great, very bland and actual weiner didn’t have much flavor and the sweet potatoes were a bit burnt, but i think this is a minor mistake than can easily be fixed in the future! Can’t wait to be back!“

“1776 was a true delight! We spent the 4th of July here 🇺🇸. The food was truly an inspiration. Our waiter Josh was an absolute gem and sweeter than sorghum. We will return and request him as our waiter every time. Love this place.“

“we spent our night tonight there together just myself and my fiance. we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The owners were the most wonderful people. It was nice and quiet just him and I with a little music in the background with nice dim lighting. The food was out of this world! “Our wedding was on 8/18/2023 and we are still so happy from the perfect day. From the minute we started our tour at Pinstripes with Shannon Schurr, my husband and I knew Pinstripes was going to be the perfect place for our wedding reception. We toured a few other venues, but Pinstripes was perfect. Shannon was so responsive and answered all of our questions along the way. The food tasting was lovely as well and it was a great chance to try all the food and feel confident at our choices. From the tour to the tasting to the reception, everything was seamless and magical. All of our guests absolutely raved about the reception venue and all the wedding guests mentioned it was the most fun wedding reception they have ever been at. The food and drink options were fantastic! We had bowling during our cocktail hour (with socks and bowling shoes included for all guests) and bocci courts open after dinner, which was a huge hit. We reserved the all-seasons outside space, which was well worth the little additional money, and the firepits and decorations (including the flowered backdrop) were a big hit and we didn’t even need to buy any decorations because it was set up so beautifully. The service was excellent throughout the whole night and the linens turned out prettier than we could have pictured! There was also a cool stand for the cake to be displayed while we were cutting it. Many of our guests now frequent for bowling and dinner at Pinstripes and my husband and I do the same.“

“I visited the Crystal Lake Culver’s on Saturday, May 24th, 2025. I am an avid fan of Culver’s and I have visited 35 locations in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri and Kentucky. As a resident of Crystal Lake I visit this Culver’s very regularly. The food was excellent and the service was quick. “I’ve eaten at Bleuroot twice when traveling through Chicago for hockey trips. Every bite has been phenomenal and there have been many “Oh you’ve got to try this” shared plates. The staff are amazing and this is a place where it’s okay to be loud and boisterous and joyful. “This is a new Culver's, still great food, in a modern package. You must try everything but for your first time go with a butter burger, cheese curds, and leave room for custard of your choice.

Next time (there will be a next time) look beyond a burger and try the cod, pot roast sandwich, or soup.

It says it comes with marinara sauce, but then makes you select from a list of sauces and marinara is not a choice. So one time I just picked a different sauce and got that sauce and not the marinara and the other time I picked no sauce and didn’t get anything. So if marinara sauce could be added to the sauce selection so there’s no confusion that would be wonderful.“

“I haven't been to Alexander's in years and my last experience wasn't a good one. The food wasn't great and the service was terrible. This time was a complete 180° experience! The place has been renovated and looks very nice and very clean (including the very nice restroom). The food and service were, both, wonderful with nice selections on the menu. We went on a weekend, so they had a piano player who was very good. Even the prices weren't the usual "painful" experience of most restaurants. We will, definitely, return. I went because I was told they had improved, considerably, from what I remembered. They have!“

“On a very hot and busy evening, we took the only seats available, outside- the outdoor seating happens to be a beautiful sun room with a nice view. We came in mid dinner rush on a Friday evening and this place was PACKED, so naturally it was a little busy, and the kitchen had a nightmare on their hands to work through. That being said, the food came out a little slow, and without any sort of prompting, or anything, one of the owners (a VERY nice lady) came out and apologized for the wait, then comped our appetizer for coming out after the entrees, and to top it off she threw in a free dessert for the "trouble" which as far as we were concerned wasn't any trouble at all. The product itself was well worth the wait. I personally NEVER finish my entrees at restaurants, and I absolutely destroyed the Caribbean Burger I ordered. SO worth the wait. Portions are great, food quality was awesome, the entire staff was friendly, despite it being so busy and so hot, the whole experience was awesome from walking in, to closing out. 20/10, would absolutely come here again and would recommend this place to anyone who loves a good Midwestern meal with a great atmosphere.“
