“We have now been here twice while visiting my son and future daughter-in-law in Machesney Park. After the first time, my husband insisted that this become a ritual when we go to visit because this place was that good. The coffee is very good, which is unusual and a lot of restaurants, the staff is amazing, and we have thoroughly enjoyed every dish that we have eaten there, including my son and future daughter-in-law. Yes, the price may be a little higher than some restaurants, but the atmosphere and the food is totally worth it. We only have one suggestion, put in some sound proofing materials so that it’s not quite so noisy when the restaurant is full. We will definitely be back! ❤️“
“Well, since the pandemic, I haven't actually visited any Steak and shake restaurants. I remember long lines and waits yo be seated. I was quite surprised that, for the most part, customers place their orders themselves at any available in store kiosk l. I belive you cam place the order in advance from their app. Then you pay at the kiosk or app and seat yourself with the receipt. In a little while they bring your order to you. The food was good but not how I remember it. The French fries were great, the butterfinger Shake was outstanding! The server was polite and courteous. “Five stars all around for this wonderful restaurant! As first time diners we weren't sure what to expect as all dishes are gluten-free, however every dish was delicious and satisfying. Our party started with 2 very tasty appetizers of Mussels and Cheese Curds. We then enjoyed the House and Seasonal Salads, both having a wonderful honey mustard vinaigrette. For an added touch, the Seasonal Salad was topped with goat cheese. I can't say enough about our entrees. Not only were the presentations well done, all tasted as wonderful as they looked! The Skate Wing with Snap Peas was a mild white meat fish, with caper brown butter sauce. The Short Rib was perfectly done and topped with brown sugar glaze. The Hanger Steak, ordered medium rare, had a roasted peppered chutney, charred on the outside, and two roasted whipped sweet potatoes. Our meal was topped off with the Julian's Frozen Custard dessert and espresso. The restaurant itself is somewhat small, with a cozy and charming feel to it so reservations are a must! Our service thruout the evening was exceptional so kudos to the attentive staff. A final note there is additional parking across the street so take advantage when the main lot is full. Will definitely be dining here again!“

“Love Crusins! We have lived here for three years and didn't frequent the two restaurants in town. Not sure why. Crusins is great restaurant is always clean, staff is really nice. Go on Thursdays and get the stroganoff. You won't be disappointed. ??“
“Mountain of praise for Montarra The experience was very pleasant. This was our second time here and, to be honest, we only returned because we had a gift certificate. But we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. Service: Excellent. Both wait staff and hostess team seemed very engaged, from when I made the reservation to when we stepped into the restaurant and even when we left. Our waitperson was efficient, polite, and knowledgable. Food: was really outstanding (we had bouillabaisse and a special risotto dish with scallops). The menu was varied and interesting - I often gauge a restaurant by looking at the menu and having a difficult time making a selection because many items looked good. I liked that they had a quality menu with several selections that seemed creative. The quantity of items was also just right. Not too many, not too few. Other: When they took my reservation, they asked if it was a special occasion. I said it was for my husband's birthday. They asked his name - I didn't really know why but told them. When we were seated, I realized why. They had printed a special version of the menu with a happy birthday note to my husband. It was a very inexpensive, clever, and simple, yet meaningful step. We were impressed. We would definitely return - even without the gift certificate.“

My only complaint about the "Atmosphere" is that it can sometimes feel a little cramped.Parking: It's a shared parking lot and it can get a little full around lunch time.“
“Ordered a pizza ahead of time via grubhub and they hadn't even received it yet (thats a grubhub problem), showed up at the time grubhub said and he got my pizza started right away despite not receiving the grubhub order yet. That is top tier customer service right there. Pizzas always come out tasty. I recommend a pan pizza with italian beef and hot peppers.“
