“The salsa is definitely authentic, fresh, and delicious! I love how they have photos of the plates on the menu. Really enjoyed the steak tampiquenia, chille rejanos, fajitas, and tacos. They have a full menu with plenty of options. The service and food were super duper! ?“
“So we went here after the Christmas lights down the st. This place was not too busy so it was easy to get a table and eat. The staff were nice and friendly. We both got a beer and burrito. The burrito steak had such a great flavor. Usually they are pretty plain. This one no way. It was very yummy. And enough for left overs. I am enjoying it for lunch right now. As I wrote this. I will say the condiments were ok not my favorite the dark one had a smoky flavor. And the light one was just hot. The shrimp they serve with the chips was tasty and had a fresh flavor. Very good and worth the try. The menus is very interesting looking. I would have loved to try more of the seafood but was not super hungry yesterday“
“A surprise for good Mexican American. El Faro is a longtime favorite and has a few locations, including this one in East Dundee. It seems more authentic than Americanized stuff. Get classic Mexican cocktails. They also have some good a** guacamole. First we decided to get a cocktail. It has the familiar ones. This was an opportunity to get something other than a margarita, but something that also has tequila. After looking it up, we tried a couple cantaritos. It's about $9 for a pretty big amount. This is tequila mixed with grapefruit soda, lime juice, and orange juice. It's similar to a paloma, but adds in orange juice for extra flavor. This also comes in a clay pot that has a rim of chili salt. Also we got the Orden De Guacamole. It's about $9 for a pretty big portion. This comes with tortilla chips and was enough to eat at this time. Good place for authentic food. It's far from the best but you get good stuff at these prices. There's much more behind margaritas, tacos, and typical whatever.“
“This place is hands down the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. I ordered the taco dinner with al pastor, Carne, and shrimp. It was delicious and fresh, you can taste the flavor of the cilantro and onion and the seasoning of the meats were spot on. We will definitely be coming back.“

“I really like my burrito. I typically do not have a burrito with the rice and beans inside of it but it was really good. The fries..... I mean it doesn't really go with it but who doesn't like fries?? I want to try the taco special next. I will be back.“
“What can I say other than I absolutely love this place! I have tried so many things, and everything is so good! Tried the steak with crab cake dinner off the new spring menu and it was so freaking good! My all-time favorite is the brisket crunch taco it is fire! All the drinks are absolutely delicious and all of the servers are so friendly. If you sign up on their email list, they have awesome deals, which they will email you and they usually have some thing that is on special every night… Just a great spot!“

“Delicious food and friendly staff. We visited for the first time for lunch recently and were immediately greeted by friendly host and server. Margaritas are outstanding, and the addition of jalapeño queso and ceviche along with chips and salsa were an unexpected and tasty surprise. Portions are huge. Burritos and fajitas are delish and enough to take home for another meal. We will be back!“
