Was recently at the Oyster Bar to celebrate my moving OUT of Illinois to the gulf coast of Mississippi. Service was great. Food was great. It was rather warm inside the bar. We were fanning ourselves and it wasn’t hot that day. Temp was only 84 outside. Oysters and drinks were fantastic. Felt the ceviche could have used a little less jalapeño peppers. They overpowered the other ingredients and that was all we tasted. Still had a great time!! My bill was money well spent!!
We stopped by the market today on an impulse. After we made our purchase, the owner followed us out and gifted us a case of Stella Rosa. Apparently all customers got one. What a wonderful gesture. Thank you so much. It's my birthday and we were on our way home from a disturbing doctor's visit. The kindness is much appreciated.
My fiancé and I have been going to the Oyster Bar for years and we have always had great experiences. Last night was by far the best, all because of our waiter Greg. Top notch service, great food, drinks etc, but he truly made it the best with his sincerity and individuality. Thank you so much for a great experience 🥰

Jonah’s Seafood House is a restaurant with a nice patio and a river view from some tables. The menu is printed and updated daily. The food is excellent, amazing, and piping hot. The lobster was good, and the lobster tail was awesome, mouth-watering, and yummy. The Shrimp Cocktail was spot on with great flavor on the cocktail sauce. However, the King crab was over done, and the crab dip flavor was off with too much citrus. The crab rangoon was mostly cream cheese with hardly any crab flavor. No moist towelettes or tools like pliers or picks were provided. The service is kind, attentive, prompt, and polite. One server, Kelly, made the experience pleasant and felt like the only table. Another waiter, Cortland, was very awesome. The price is inline for the type of service and meal. The dining areas are well maintained and clean. Some guests had a problem with an early reservation for a table on the water, being shown to a crowded corner with no river view and no apology. Despite mixed experiences, many guests recommend the restaurant and would return.
