I went there today just to get some ranch dressing because it is on point and what ranch at it's best tastes like. “All I know is that the food is so good that I have been here 3 times since it opened (Which has been less then 6 months). I know I should branch out and try the other offerings but I just really love the Tori Paitan and will be back more when the cooler weather is fully settled in.
I also sincerely appreciate that there are good non-alcoholic mixed drinks, because sometimes someone just wants a fun mixed drink but none of the alcohol and there's quite a few options here- expanded even from the menu pictured on Google. There's a really good Yuzu based drink that I also keep getting that is my favorite.
The atmosphere is higher end but not pretentious, and cozy while still being open.

I look forward to bringing more of my friends here.

Parking: Fair amount of parking but it's in a strip mall with other restaurants so you're not always able to find a spot immediately. There's usually more parking in the back“

The flavors are authentic to Korean food items also. Online you can ask for extra of one the free included sides which is nice. The sides are healthful and tastes great. The staff (diverse staff) and manager (who looked Korean to me which is nice to keep authenticity) are always cleaning...authentic to the Korean way of non stop standards of cleanliness. The bathroom is immaculate and non odorous. I got a glass noodle (which is made of sweet potato) base bowl with tofu (cooked perfectly with just right saltiness, broccoli, beans, steamed and fried potatoes, red cabbage, corn, kale, and KIMCHI of course! What Korean dish comes without kimchi and it's perfect inside bc I grew up adding kimchi to everything like ramen or pizza or soup. Also FREE miso soup w tofu and scallion. You can serve it yourself anytime. Drinks are creative and yummy. Thank you Mr Shin (owner of this chain) for creating such a great deal with yummy Korean foods that help me eat for balance and wellness. Thank you to the manager of this Des Plains location for doing an excellent job! If I could, I would eat here everyday. You won't be disappointed. Sally is the go-to person during the day, and she's been a delight every time. Their specials actually feel special: the Mango Tango roll could almost be a dessert dish! The fish is fresh and tasty; as a tuna lover, I'm particularly delighted when there's no hint if fishiness, and every roll I've ordered here has been nothing less than delicious. Their side dishes are generous and tasty, the rolls are of perfect size, and I've never once left hungry. Even their miso soup hits the spot on breezy days, and that's a recipe that's hard to nail as well as they do it here.

“The food is great, but they started asking for tips. Yes, exactly to demand, I can't say otherwise. I pay by card and there is no "none" option on the screen. They had no choice. I know what I tip the waiter for, but I don't understand why I tip them here. I took the cutlery and napkins myself, poured myself a drink and cleaned up after myself at the end. Maybe I should start asking for tips too??“
