“For the amount and quality of food you get for the price, this place is a steal. After traveling all day and parking at the Cumberland Blue Line, we came down the road to Bab Alsalam and I cannot rave enough how amazing this place is and will be coming back each and every single time we travel out of O'Hare. The food was not only delicious, but so much flavor punched into every bite. We ordered a Chicken Shawarma Entree and the Mixed Shawarma and both were exceptional in taste. Comes with salads, pita bread, and incredibly flavorful hummus. Attached is a photo of how much food they give you. It's massive. We had enough for leftovers the next day. HIGHLY recommend this place and I'm already trying to find a way to make my way back to Chicago just to eat at this place again lol. Thanks for the amazing service!“

“Store front restaurant in a strip mall is find! Plenty of parking. Half a dozen tables for dining. While we were there, they had a steady stream of take out orders. Their is a nick-nack with a flag of Jordan, maybe the influence is coming from. Their Gyros is not the typical style in the USA, all the same ingredients firmly wrapped in their flat bread rather than a pita. Baba Ghanouj is one of my favorite dishes from middle eastern cuisine, EZ Shawarma does an excellent version. Also impressed by their Lamb Chops at $24, serverd on Basmati yellow rice with grilled vegetables. We also had chicken Shawarma entrée also served on Basmati yellow rice with grilled vegetables. We finished off with Baklava.“

“I love the Beef Swarma Entree when you substitute Hummus for the rice. The Cucumber and Tomato salad which comes with it is also excellent. You also get a piece of Pita Bread with the Entree. Also try their Baklava variety pack. Really great selection of different types of Baklava.“

“We had a wonderful dinner tonight at Al Bawadi Grill. We had Mandi (Lamb with Rice) which was amazing and so tasty!. We ordered Salmon kabobs plus Kefta Kabob which were both so tasty and fresh! Yogurt drink was awesome and so fresh! Kanafa was not so sweet just the way we like it. Thanks again!“

“We're in Chicago for a week and we stopped to eat here twice. Delicous, clean, filling and fresh.
The fried laghman noodles were nice and had a great chew. The veggies were cooked perfectly, the meat was tender and the overall dish was not super oily like others we've tried. Portion is bigger than it looks so go hungry.
The ayrim sai laghman was also delicious and light.
The plov was also delicious and not too oily. The raisins were plump and were great with the savory rice. And of course quail eggs with plov are always perfect.
The white dumpling soup (chuch wara) had a great broth and dumplings were well cooked and tasty.
Most important is to try the bread! The bread is sooooo delicious and cooked in a tandoor. Samsa is also cooked in tandoor and is super juicy!

“I can honestly say when it comes to these protein bowls, won't say names but this place doesn't disappoint when it comes your protein portions!! Myra was very nice and made sure that the quantity matched the quality of this fine establishment. No disappointments here. Definitely coming back!!“

“Discovered this place when I moved to hoffman estates in 2016 and I've enjoyed their food since then. Never had a problem or issue with their food. Great flavor, especially their Tawwa rice. Not a typical place to sit and eat since it's so small. Best to order take out.“

“We happened to stop in today. The lentil soup and lamb shish kabob were delicious! The falafel were crispy and flavorful. On the way out we picked up the Traditional Baklava sampler and it was very tasty too! We will definitely be back soon!“

“ordered a large order. they provided lots of sauce but forgot two main courses. instead of saying oh well and hanging up they went out of the way to bring us the items and a treat of baklava. this business has always been great and make all customers feel valued“

“I found this place completely by accident while searching on Google for a place to smoke hookah. I was truly impressed by the hospitality, the excellent service, and the delicious hookah.
I ordered tea and a hookah, but the waiter told me the tea would be complimentary. That kind and thoughtful gesture really touched me, and it made me decide to order some food to go as well.
Thank you so much for reminding me that there are still such genuinely kind and welcoming people in this world. ❤ I will definitely come back and not just once!“

“Okay, this place was awesome. Not just for airport food, but just in general, the steak in my steak bowl was fresh, the guy behind the counter was super nice, and my fiancée's falafel bowl was great too! Honestly above all the good service won me over, the guy working at 1:20pm 1/16/2025 was 5 stars!“
