This Peet's is usually quite busy as it is situated squarely in the middle of downtown Evanston. I would say the most outstanding feature of this Peet's is the service. Everyone is uniformly friendly, prompt, and helpful. Lots of smiles. Seats may be hard to find as Northwestern students usually plant themselves in their tables and stay there for a good part of the day. It's better when the patio in front of the store opens in Spring. The drip coffee is fine with half-priced refills, and there are an assortment of breakfast sandwiches, pastries , and muffins. Make sure you talk to the server about enrolling in the rewards program which is quite good.

This place used to be one of my favorite coffee shops. But times have changed and it has turned into something similar to a cheap coworking. People buy a cup of coffee and sit there all day working on a laptop. All the seats are constantly occupied. It's a pity that they don't have time limits like in many other cafes. I don't go there anymore

The coffee was bitter and burnt. Portions could probably be better, but it's hard to say. I wish they would let the espresso run a bit longer so it wasn't quite so dark.

I dropped by the place for the first time. The order was two Havana coffees with cinnamon and condensed milk. While I was waiting for my order, i took a glance at the service guy adding condensed milk into coffee more than its reasonable amount. So, I asked for him to add less milk into second coffee and all will be well. However, the guy threw out the cup and started his job all over again. After that I just told him that All I wanted is the second one with less milk, not necessary to throw out the first one. He had a negative behavior when presenting the order, telling me that 'Next time you have to give a clear instruction to the cashier' . As a response, I told him that it was my first appearance here, so i didn't know that you guys add milk that much amount into coffee. And I took away my coffee and left the place, but the guy literally chasing me, and saying that "Excuse me, ma'am, what did you say? Again?" So, i really felt that i got harassed by him since it was not an appropriate behavior. Beyond terrible service!!
I am a regular at this location. I keep coming back because I like the coffee but the staff is oftentimes very rude. This morning was clearly not a good morning for Stephanie. First, she was rude to the woman in front of me and then she loudly yelled at her coworker when I pointed out that I ordered oat milk, not whole milk. I don’t consume dairy. She went on to complete three orders that came in after mine before remaking my drink. I will likely use up my reward points and go somewhere in the future.

Great place to sit and chat, also good for work. Me and a couple friends ordered frappes. I got the caramel frappe and it was honestly better than starbucks in my opinion and for about the same price.
