“The rock club is absolutely my favorite venue in Chicago, intimate, great sound, the slant of the floor makes sure almost everyone can see, and you can always retreat to the stairs/upstairs if it gets too crowded. Reasonable beer prices are the icing on the cake.“
“Food was pub style but just what you want if you want pub style. Wings, nachos, burgers, and fries were all very good. Beers are good and cold, mixed drinks are very, tall? Very friendly staff. Wishing them all the best in business. Did I mention the prices are so low you almost feel guilty? Could use better lighting and decor, perhaps in time.“
“Went there to see a band that a couple of people I knew are in. Enjoyed them. There were a lot of us - putting space at a premium. The food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. Because of the crowd, service was a bit slow but still capable.“
“This bar is a very nice GEM that has a great decor. The beers are ice cold and the drinks very refreshing. Taco Tuesdays are very tasty and the catfish dinner is Awesome. This is a very friendly bar with colorful characters. Watch the game from any seat or select a song from touch tunes and dance your cares away. Try you luck on the gaming machines or just have a couple of drinks with your buds.Parking: I-57 close byWheelchair accessibility: Easy access ramp“
“the food is great, fresh and hot, and the service is great. Drinks are great. Music is great, just a great vibe. You can't go wrong, go check it outParking: park in the lot or on streetKid-friendliness: they can play games while eatingWheelchair accessibility: right on corner“
“Stopped in with my sister (missed a bus had to wait) and I am so glad we did. We caught the last hour of Happy Hour and tried the wings... Amazing and the sauces served on the side is just a great idea. I was able to try them all. Not a bad one in the bunch. Will be back.“
“If you love a local dive bar, where the people know you, the owner's awesome, & the drinks are stiff. Look no further! always inviting & drinks are good and inexpressive. The bartenders are attentive. The owner is hands on & personable. If your in Posen, stop by this little piece of “
“Very fairly priced hotdogs, polish, burgers and more. There is a nice drink choice with import, domestic, and local area favorites. You have multiple burger choices. There is a wondering, fish and chips, and other choices. Service was stellar. On a Saturday night the restaurant was full. Parking is a little challenging, but does rotate spaces in a timely manner.“
“Visiting from Virginia and was looking for that Chicago cuisine everyone raves about. Well this place exceeds expectations. The curb appeal is gorgeous. The staff are amazing. Pete makes an amazing blue cheese dirty martini. I’m very particular about my martinis and he overdelivered. So the food. They have created an environment where bar meets fine dining. The presentation, the taste…impeccable. We had the hummus and garlic parm wings…they did not disappoint. Then the presentation for the burger with their logo stamped in the bun was the finishing touch. Definitely in our top ten across the country.“
“Tucked away in Hickory Hills on Roberts Rd just North of 95th, The Sock Bar & Grill is a sports aficionado's paradise that serves up not only a winning lineup of games on multiple TVs but also a menu that'll keep you coming back for more. The moment you step in, the atmosphere envelops you in the true spirit of a sports bar. The buzz of excitement fills the air, amplified by the sights and sounds of games on every screen. The digital jukebox sets the perfect soundtrack for your visit, adding an extra layer of energy to the lively ambiance. One of the standout features is the wrap-around bar, a hub of activity where the barmaids are on point, delivering swift service and deserved attention to patrons. They greet you with genuine smiles, ready to recommend a drink or chat about the latest game. If you're seeking a bit more privacy, the separate rooms for private parties offer a cozy setting for celebrations and gatherings. Now, let's talk about the star players on their menu. The fried pickles are a game-changer--thick-cut and perfectly crispy, they're a savory delight that keeps you reaching for more. The loaded nachos bring a fiesta to your taste buds with layers of cheese, fresh toppings, and just the right kick of spice. And let's not forget their flatbread pizza--Chicago style at its finest, boasting flavorful toppings atop a crispy crust that's pure satisfaction. The Chicago dogs pack a punch of flavor, although they fell slightly short without the iconic poppyseed bun. Nevertheless, the taste is spot-on, a tribute to the Windy City's famous dog. But it's not just the food that scores big at The Sock Bar & Grill--the drinks are fantastic! Whether it's their signature cocktails or a classic brew, they've got something to quench every thirst. And amidst the excitement and delicious bites, there's one constant--a welcoming smile from Kasha (spelling might need correction), who adds an extra touch of warmth to the experience. Overall, The Sock Bar & Grill hits a home run with its inviting atmosphere, mouthwatering menu, and stellar service. It's the kind of place where sports enthusiasts, foodies, and friends gather for an unforgettable time. So, grab a seat, cheer for your team, and indulge in a winning combination of great food, drinks, and hospitality at The Sock Bar & Grill. Cheers to a fantastic game day experience!“
“My group(all family!), we were from our of town on vacation and happened upon this gem of a bar and grill by asking customer service at Shedd Aquarium! It was maybe 10 mins by car... from the minute you walk in you feel very welcome, Carrie, our server, mentioned she has been there for 14 yrs and it showed! She knew all the patrons, treated our group like family ! She made us feel special ! She even gave my grand daughter a T shirt with "Turtles" on it so we will remember to eat there again next time we are in Chicago! The food now, well the hamburgers were awesome, I recommend them! Salads were fresh and giid! Try the pulled pork, that was really good!! Personally I can bet, anything on the menu is great what! And when you go, I hope Carrie is working , you will seriously return!! What a way to end our trip , good food and fantastic service!Parking: Street parking only that I could see, but it's a neighborhood bar and grille and it's a stone's throw away from the White Sox field!! Very cool !!Kid-friendliness: It is a bar and grill but we had 2 kids under 10 yrs old with our group and wonderful server, Carrie allowed us to put tables together so we were able to enjoy the great food! There is a kids menu or the sliders worked fine!“
“Nice breakfast spot in Orland Park. Refreshing new atmosphere and deco. The food was great, coffee was great ( they grind and sell their own bags). They make their own donuts too. Our server Megan was nice and thoughtful, would definitely go “
“I used to run a trucking account for a mega carrier that delivered right down the street from here. I'm not lying when I say this is the only bar I've ever drank in. Chicago doesn't allow beer sales in convenience stores I guess. Was recommended that I buy a six pack here. I was not disappointed in the slightest. I tell stories down in Georgia about this place from time to time. It's like a legend to all my friends... None of them can get me to drink in a bar to this day. Cheers guys..“
“We came here after a zoo day and the entire family enjoyed it. We got the cheese curds and Brussels sprouts for an appetizer and they were both delicious. The fish tacos were great, but the corned beef tacos were out of this world! Highly recommend this place for an afternoon lunch or family dinner.“
“For Friday date night it was perfect! Appreciated the security safety first right. Service was good, they waste no time to clean up. The food, best i had, seriously returning for the food for sure. It was authentic, homemade delicious. We started with a bucket of Estrella beers, tried the Michelada since they are known for the best of Chicago and a cantarito. So good! Music, TVs, everything was nice. For a Friday it was busy but it felt very chill. It was a perfect Friday night. Thank you!“
“This is a great place to watch a game when the White Sox are out of town. Lots of beer on tap and more TVs than you can count. The elote (street corn on-the-cob) is delicious, and their Nashville hot chicken sandwich is better than expected. Try the bbq brisket sandwich with fries!“
“1st time here, and it was so cute on the inside and the food...I got a burger, and it was really delicious. I'm a big burger person, and I really enjoyed it. I try to avoid fries in general, but these were so good I couldn't help myself. I would absolutely go back and get the same thing, and I'm sure everything is amazing here, but that burger was really so delicious. Great atmosphere, everyone seems really nice. Great gaming section as well. Play and eat!“
“Was doing a little bar hopping and found this hidden gem. They have pool, slots, darts and Touch Tunes for music which worked for us. Service was friendly and the prices were good too. Didn't serve any wine though so I had to swich up my drinks. All in all, a nice spot!“
“First and formost GRACE IS THE BEST BARTENDER IVE EVER MET!! Fun, inexpensive (tons of daily drink specials) and has pool tables, dart boards, bags outside, nice outdoors area, jukebox, and updated slot machines, they Also play most sports games on their big flat screen televisions :)friendly staffA good timeMy favorite bar“
“Great Bar, great owners and great bartenders!! As for James Suefert’s review, I have been in the bar three times you were, and let me explain, the first time you fell asleep at the bar, the second time you tried to walk away with the Family Fued workers phone and the third time you propositioned one of the bartenders in the worst way. I can understand if you feel your service was below service, it’s you!!!!“
“This place is tops!!! Absolutely great food in a hole in the wall bar. It has a "bar" vibe, but don't let that dissuade you. We will even bring our kids here during the day. My favorite item is the flame burger, made as a chicken sandwich (you can substitute chicken for burger), with fries and ranch. Would often come here for date nights and would also get carry out anytime I was in the area. It's just delicious food. They will also do some seasonal cocktails, which are fun to try, and always have good prices.“
“Daja Brew Bar and Grill is undoubtedly one of my top choices. Their food selection is both delightful and scrumptious. The staff, unfailingly friendly and professional, adds to the overall experience. I’ve had the pleasure of hosting numerous family gatherings in their party room, each time an exceptional experience. Their food variety is truly outstanding. Furthermore, their craft beer and cocktail offerings are impressive. Dottie, the owner, runs an exceptional business and ensures she personally greets and acknowledges her patrons. At Daja, you’re not just a customer; you’re treated like family.“
“This is one of those gem bars on the Southside of Chicago. The atmosphere is awesome - not too loud so you can actually have a conversation. The food is top notch with the burgers being some of the best you'll ever eat. The staff is also very friendly and attentive. Overall, a must visit bar/restaurant.“
“Mr. B and staff family are amazing and know the regulars. Food is GREAT quality and quantity worth the price. Through all the increases in life the prices stayed about the same. Joe's, is much needed in the community. Sometimes you have to wait because it's BUSY but, it worth the wait. You can call in and place your order. Remember to drop something in the tip jug, they work HARD from 7a-2p.Parking: There is free street parking around the restaurant and across the street that doesn't belong to Joe's but people often park there.Kid-friendliness: Kids are more than welcome and there regularly.Wheelchair accessibility: There are tables where you can remove the chairs and eat with a wheelchair. They will definitely accommodate you.“
“First time there, I was having service done to my car, two blocks away, when I stumbled into this place, it's a quiet with what it looked like the regulars, enjoying there beverages, I was taken care of right away, and I ordered the 3/4 lbs cheeseburger, with fries, the beer was cold, and the cheeseburger was big, and very tasty, I enjoyed it a lot, it's a nice place to go have good food and good service, I've been back several times since.“
“First time visit for a birthday party and everything was great. The food was the bomb!! They kept bringing out different fresh pizzas and the other food was hot fresh and superb! They make a killer spicy effen cucumber drink with tajin! Lots of tvs and slot machines. Located across from the Brookfield zoo metra stop.“
“My husband found BCT online and decided it sounded good. I am so glad we went with his find because BCT was delicious! I hesitated when we pulled up because our kids were with us, however it was perfect! The whole family was welcomed in, the staff was so friendly and helpful! I loved that the menu had some personality and they clearly like their cheeses! We will definitely stop by again during our next trip to the area.“
“Was pleasantly surprised by this place. Random choice to celebrate with Alumni for a small Birthday gathering. Set at bar, delicious food and great staffParking: Street parking is great. This place is actually on the corner of a residential street“
“The place for summer total entertainment fun. The choices are plenty swimming pool jet skis tubes music shows hot delious food served fresh. Cool deserts cheese cake that is homemade. Plenty of adult and soft drinks. You can visit the restaurant in the non summer months as well. There is a small fee for usage of the swimming pool. Rental of the water sports equipment varies depending on type. Check with Salernos web page for music concert information and other special events. Attend!!!!!“
“This place is awesome! Just moved to the area. Burger is outstanding, bartenders friendly (they put up with a lot from rowdy regulars). For $6 you get an amazing burger and fries, I left very impressed. Every neighborhood needs a great local like this glad I live so close.“
“Food is nothing to write home about. There's good bar food and then there's also meh bar food. This is meh. However, you will still have a great time if you just want to watch a game and have some drinks. The place is decorated, warm, and inviting. Go outside and smoke or grab a table in the summer months. Always a good time. Plenty of parking.“
“Great place. Wednesday is free bingo good prizes. Food prices a tad on the high side. Great selection of beer and cocktails. Daily specials and happy hour prices do keep costs down if you stick to those items. Bacon lots of bacon choices which is a huge plus.“
“This place is bigger than I thought. It looks like they have a lot of fun here. The drinks are cheap, I didn't have the food, the staff was ok.I got an interesting Thanksgiving themed drink... that came with a turkey baster... they called it "let's get basted"...lol...clever and tasty.“
“We had our son's first birthday here and cannot say enough good things about Gilhooleys. The manager Jim was incredibly helpful and easy to work with. The staff the day of was amazing and friendly. The food (we did the brunch option) was so delicious. We got so many compliments about the food and the space from our guests. It was our first time hosting a party so we were nervous, but Gilhooleys made everything easy for us. We are so grateful for such a wonderful time!“
“My food was tasty, I had fried shrimp with 2 dipping sauces, sweet potato fries & a Caesar Salad. Our server was efficient & pleasant. Our group had 14 people, our server took our orders with a smile & answered any questions. The establishment was a bit dark, but it is a pub atmosphere. I saw several families with children. The bar side could not be seen from our tables & booths side. I would definitely eat @ Tavern In The Green again.“
