“Hidden gem of a course and open to the public, Full 18 hole course that has a variety of challenging holes. It is a lot of fun to play. Very reasonable rates and fun leagues.Clubhouse is a friendly environment with good food, cold beers and more.New ownership in 2024 is making a lot of updates to the course, clubhouse and more. Will be exciting to see what is in store this year and beyond.“
“We dropped in for dinner on a lark - we were looking for someplace new. This place is a few blocks off of Rt 38 in Downtown Ashton. It's a bar-restaurant, and that is how it basically works in many small towns. The walls are adorned with a ton of historic photos and articles - if you haven't been here, try to sit at a table near the wall, so you can soak up some of this ambiance. We were promptly greeted (seat yourself) and provided with menus. They had a rib eye special and a New York Strip special, in addition to some reasonably priced dinners. My wife had their fried shrimp dinner with a baked potato, while I had their New York Strip special ($10) with a baked potato. If you order dinner, you get their salad bar, which is small. With that said, it's full of fresh stuff, and the pasta salad was really, really tasty. I almost went back for seconds. Dinner arrived - the shrimp got my wife's seal of approval, and the baked potatoes were properly baked and done, which I appreciated. You can get butter and or sour cream - I had both. The steak was done as ordered - medium rare. It was a typical New York Strip - a decent cut. It tasted okay, and needed some salt. The bar is a full bar - I had a Samuel Adams Summer Shandy, which went down well. This is a nice, quiet place. It was starting to get busy around 6:30 when we were leaving on a Saturday night.“

“The first thing I noticed was how clean it was! No weird smells. No loud music, or tvs or gambling machines. Saturday around noon, place only had 2 other families. Waitress was fantastic. Food arrived hot and delicious. Kid was confused because he ordered chocolate chip pancakes but the chips were only on top. He ate them any way. Omelette was good and hashbrowns were perfect. Coffee tasted burnt. I drank anyway. If going through the area, stop and enjoy. We will stop buy again when in area. **Heads up** Cash or local check.“
