“I have been going to The Coffee Pot for about 8 months now since I first got transferred to Cedar Trails in Freeburg, Illinois. Their coffee is always on point and I love their cute set up they have. If you are looking for an amazing cold brew or even some specialty lattes and sweets and you are in the Freeburg area, The Coffee Pot is CHEF APPROVED!! :)”

“Small, but great. Server was having a little bit of an off night but nothing was really bad. Just a little uncomfortable, like not realizing what dressing was on a salad and other minor things. Both steaks were perfectly cooked, unfortunately one was supposed to be medium well, it was beautifully medium.Bar and main dining room in one, but not too noisy with no bar seating.We will be back!”

“Chimichanga plate was delish. Guacamole is a bit on the spicy side for my liking, but I don't usually care for spicy food. Reasonable prices and food came out very quickly. Yummy! I will go back. The place was packed on a Tuesday night at 730pm.”

“If you want to watch the game this is a great place to be. Service is always friendly. Food is pretty good bar food. Wish there were a few more high tables. We often go with a large group and that can be difficult if you're not there early enough for tables. But that says good things as its a busy place.I will say it seems several families think it is an indoor recess setting letting their kids run wild. I've never been to any other restaurant where parents think it's ok to let kids run between tables, up and down stairs, toss food around etc. While the staff has tried to control this (and there is an under 21 curfew) some parents think they can let their kids do whatever they want. It's a shame because this is clearly a sports bar restaurant. I've taken my little one there several times and managed not letting him run around like it's a playground.”

“Lucky Joe’s is like going to your best friends basement to hang out. You get what’s on hand and you can bring your own snacks. Everyone is cool with whatever is going on and it’s cheap. The bar girls are cool af.Sometimes the porch catches on fire, sometimes it smells bad but it’s ok, just drink more Stag and have a good time.”

“I have been going to Gary's since I was in 7th/8th grade (after sockhops). I was addicted to their ice the whole time I was pregnant with my son 20 yrs ago, plus I went into labor there. Gary and his wife are family friends and everyone that works there works their tails off to keep the good home cooked meals. I just wish there was a way I could get my semi truck and trailer in there when I am on a 10 hr. I will always have fond memories of not just hanging with friends after school dances but also you all are great people. “I have never eaten in the restaurant. I really never have seen anyone eat there. My husband loves their chicken fried rice without onions plus extra chicken so I always get him it from there. Service has always been good except for one time when the woman taking my order said I didn't order it without onions so I thought she was a little rude. There are lots of tables there and I suppose it would be okay to just sit there and eat the food... not cozy or romantic but what Chinese restaurant is romantic. Prices are reasonable and it isn't a long wait for takeout.”

“We enjoy Reifschneider’s when in Freeburg/Columbia. I usually opt for the chicken finger platter-it’s consistently delicious. The chicken fingers have a tasty and crunchy batter that make them perfect. We also ordered loaded nachos. It’s an appetizer but you get enough to make it a meal. My son ordered the potato soup. This was the only item that we didn’t love. It had a smokey flavor that we didn’t care for. The service was fast and friendly. We will be back soon.”

“I’ve been here on several occasions with very consistent experiences from the friendliness of the staff to quality of our iced lattes & chais to the tastiness of their pastries. Enjoy the space with a variety of seating options - bar seating, tables & chairs and comfy seating. All within the quaintness of a repurposed train depot. A favorite coffee stop when in Belleville…. “Ordered turkey white bean chili, bbq sand on brioche (both daily specials), rosemary jalapeño fries, breakfast burrito to share. I sampled all and absolutely delish! Each item tasted extraordinary. I love this place because everything I order is made with carefully crafted flavors and texture—down to the salsa served on the side of burrito. It was homemade and fresh—not jarred. Burrito stuffed with eggs, chorizo, bacon, and more—ordered mine without potato. Smoky, not too spicy—YUM! BBQ was tender and tasty but chunky and not stringy—how delightful! Fries are always great and I must order every time I go. Chili had nice chunks of succulent turkey—you could see and taste the turkey. This place never disappoints and gets better every time I go.”

“This is my first choice when I go out for lunch. Delicious and fresh food and it always comes out really fast! They recently expanded their drink menu to include several types of beer as well. My family loves eating here.”

“Last night was my first time @ The Corner Grill and Chill. I had a Double Cheese Burger and a side of Onion Rings. I absolutely loved it!!! It was fantastic. and I have eaten alot of take out /Bar food etc. Believe me this was again FANTASTIC! The service was Spot On, Fast, Friendly and Accurate. I strongly recommend it. “This is a wonderful place to sit and relax. They have great food and wine (with some beers and cider) that makes for a nice visit. It is really nice for small groups to meet and enjoy each other's company since there is no music blasting. It is kept at a nice level where you can still talk without yelling.”

It was my first time downtown and I was looking for coffee and a cookie for me and my son, they were great with him and let him look at all the different kinds of sugar cookies and played along with his games while I figured out what to order. My iced latte was perfect and everything was reasonably priced. My only complaint was it didn’t give me the option to tip when I used Apple Pay and I didn’t have any cash on me.”

“Absolutely phenomenal- the food was incredibly tasty and well-prepared (I ordered the vegan breakfast burritos and later came back for the vegan quesadilla for lunch), and the staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and very friendly and kind.I sat and worked on my laptop at the window bar while eating and enjoyed the sweet, sunshiney cafe environment that looks right out onto Main Street. Highly reccommend and will be a repeat customer for sure. Love supporting local businesses!”
