Spent the day in Galena last Saturday with less than desirable food and service the entire day. Started the trip back home and decided to Google spots to eat. Came across this gem and decided to give it a try. Cannova’s was hands down the best part of the day. Was greeted by a friendly host who sat us right away next to the piano. The pizza is definitely a good choice. Cozy atmosphere with piano man. Service was fast and efficient. Pleasant staff.
I do not recommend the large Caesar salad. It's just a big bowl of romaine lettuce with dressing on the side. It's more of a deconstructed Caesar salad missing some key ingredients.
It's not Maggianos but it's a good second and close to home.
