Harvey's Tales is a cozy gem in downtown Geneva, featuring incredibly friendly staff and a wide selection of books. This converted house offers interesting brain food, cozy reading nooks, and a huge Scrabble board. Visitors can enjoy the best spicy chai, as well as a highly recommended chia latte, and a lavender matcha. The employees are kind and knowledgeable, always ready to greet guests and provide spot-on recommendations. While the chai can be hit or miss, the hot chocolate and book selection never disappoint. The bookstore showcases the latest books at the front and has a shelf with titles from various book clubs on the back wall. There is also a second floor with more genres, including a sadly expanding banned book section. A message board with different events adds to the charm. Although there's no customer bathroom, and the historic house may not be wheelchair or stroller-friendly, the cozy atmosphere makes it a delightful place for book lovers. Guests appreciate the seasonal BINGO reading challenges and the sugar-free drink options at the café. Harvey's Tales is perfect for relaxing, exploring the cute courtyard, and spending time browsing the various book-themed items for sale.
