“This place is awesome as staff and customers are very friendly and food is always good. If you want something light the vegetable soup is great and comes with a warm dinner roll. Bar service is great and there are daily food and drink specials. Pizza is also excellent!!!“

“We have always enjoyed VT but this was poorly managed. We came in on a Wednesday and ask to sit at a booth. The booth they sat us at was right next to a party they had going on. And people were standing right at the edge of the booth and was extremely loud. Why they didn't put the party separated in the empty section by the bar would be more appropriate. It seems they were over the limit on the one side. So we asked to move to a booth that was empty. They said we couldn't move to that booth as it wasn't open. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere.“

“After asking a bartender to remake an order, we were verbally and physically assaulted by the bar's manager/owner and multiple patrons of the bar. Physically dragged out of the bar, and then my gf was punched in the face twice by the manager. Then he and multiple other men punched and kicked me, knocking one of my teeth out. At no point did we put hands on any of these people, but they thought attacking us was OK. We spent the night in the ER and both have head and neck injuries. Also punched a girl in her face twice busting her lip open horrible that this place allows men to beat up a woman“

“Great bar and great food. The wings are very good, wet or dry, there are a lot of options, I usually go with the Cajun dry rub.. Bingo is Wednesday night and a lot of fun, plus the wings are half off that day. Burgers are excellent. Jackie is fun and is always lively. Good people there too. And some slots if you’re into that.“

“Up North Ale house is pub friendly atmosphere with casual dining. The menu always surprises me with variety of choices from burgers to salmon and steaks. The food is nicely presented and tastes good. I like that we can go there and eat quality food and listen to live music! There are tvs if you want to watch sports. I also noticed a lot of young families at our earlier dinner time. We have also gone with other couples to enjoy music, dinner along with the great selection of Kraft beer, cocktails and several other options. It's nice to have a neighborhood type restaurant and bar in the West Suburbs.“

“Was passing through West Chicago yesterday from out of the city and stopped in for the first time. The minute I walked in the door, a very warm, positive vibe hit me. I'm a Veteran so when I saw the Marine Corp memorabilia, I knew I was in the right place. The service from behind the bar was outstanding! All class and personality. The food was fantastic! Burger was fresh, flavorful, aromatic and well-crafted. Ball game on the screens with the sound up (ya don't get that at other pubs, they keep it muted). The place was cozy, comfy, warm and smelled like Heaven.......I will definitely be back!! I'm also gonna tell all my friends about it here on the North side. lol (3 thumbs up......oh wait, where's my third thumb?? 😁👍👍👍)“

“I had had a day and decided to stop into this bar to have a drink under some sun. Wasn’t sure what exactly I wanted and told the bartender Hannah to give me something fruity. She said I got you and made me an absolutely delicious vodka with other mixes drink. It was exactly what I needed. The drink was just as refreshing as being able to walk into a place distraught and be immediately met with comfort and a kind engaging personality. She definitely makes this bar what it is and I will be returning on her next shift.“

I would follow them wherever they go. (I felt horrible I did not have cash to tip!) Frankies is amazing as well. I got there early and it was low-key. You wanna get a good seat before it fills up later. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great. Ro kicked but moving from table to table. I would suggest buying a bottle of wine. (Apprx.30bux) Larry seemed very in-tune with the crowd as he watched the door, as well as, helped assist the server as he bounced through the dancing customers. This portrays an experienced Manager doing more than just one task at a time. I will go here every time I get the chance!“

“I love Standard Market's Seeded Rye Bread! It is one of the best rye breads to be found anywhere in the west suburbs. Unfortunately the last two loaves I bought are so very , very salty? I do bake bread myself (not as good as Standard Market's) I am aware of the role of salt, sugar etc. and their proportions, so why this extremely salty version ?“

“Great food, but they have a limited of certain section on certain food. Most of all the liquor is beer, but does have cocktails and other drinks. I love the lights it gives a romantic outdoor feeling. I went with my friend and enjoyed it. I had a Pork sandwich and she had a Philly steak sandwich.“

“service was awful. wings were small and they only had half of the meat on the leg pieces. then they charge 3 dollars for the sauces. the tea tasted like it was old or going rancid. I've been there about a year ago and had a good experience. I won't be going back. the waitress got the order wrong as well. Zero stars this time around. unfortunately there won't be a next time.“
