“My wife found the neighborhood in online, good menu, like their prices, and it was where we wanted to meet up. When I pulled up, and saw this corner little dive in a strip mall next to a 7-eleven, my hopes were shattered of anything decent. I'm glad I did not let my first impressions hinder my experience. We went in and place was much brighter and friendlier than I had anticipated. We were greeted with friendly smiles, and a menu that had some 97 items on it. I was flabbergasted at the choice in foods. Being Good Friday, my wife and I both ordered fish meals. And no lie, they served me the best, freshest tasting fish sandwich I ever had. “My wife planned my surprise 40th birthday at Region. From start to finish the night was perfect. The food was impeccable and very well cooked. The staff was amazing, extremely helpful and just pleasant throughout the entire night. Everything went perfect and i would recommend anyone to have their private event at Region.“

“Nice bar with a large pool/darts area. They have slot machines as well. Drinks are reasonably priced and on certain days they have deals. Haven't tried the food yet but it looks good. The menu is fairly extensive so there are plenty of options. Looking forward to trying the food next time. The staff are awesome too.“

“Today is Feb. 19th. 2021. 4 of us went to Eddie's for the famous fish fry. It was truly excellent. And the tartar sauce is brilliantly different. What impressed me the most is the social distancing that's happening inside at the tables. I was concerned however they did a great job and kept well within the state's/towns guidelines. This was my first time eating in a restaurant since the pandemic started almost a year ago. “I've been here a couple times, the food is always good. But I think what makes this place stand out to me is the level of service. The wait staff is always attentive and constantly come back to check on you, not in an annoying way, but they have it down to a science it seems. They are never pushy and always friendly. It's a great place for you to be able to hang out with a few friends and grab a drink and a good meal.“

“I didn't read the reviews beforehand, probably wouldn't have tried it. We walked in, the A/C was out so we decided to eat outside (also because the place had that carpet soaked whiskey aroma). There was only another couple in the place too. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and paired it with a Dos Equis. I started to read the reviews and then got nervous with all the 1 stars. The sandwich arrived and all the bad reviews went out the window. This was a really good Cuban! No deli sliced ham, it was a good chunk of ham in a delicious well pressed bread. The fries were cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and light and fluffy inside. 5 stars for the food, 3 stars for the atmosphere.“

They won because every keeps their expectations low because it's bar food, but it's actually very good. And the vibe here is just fun! I had one of the best salads I've ever eaten. The Thai Spinach salad. Soooo good and spicy! Loved it! We also had the Spinach artichoke dip, which was fabulous. My 17 yr old son had the 8pc wings and a burger with a sunnyside up egg on it. Only issue is they need to add some lower tables to bar area for people with disabilities that can't get onto bar stools. “Been trying to find a good burger at a good price in Palatine for 18 months. Finally found it on July 25, 2023 at TJ O'Briens Bar & Grill! Woo hoo! The place is humble, and the décor is what you'd expect to see at a local bar. However, if you're more interested in good food than fancy ambiance then this is the place for you. I got the "O" burger with fries for under $10 and it was by far the tastiest burger I've had in all of Palatine by far! You'll pay over $15 for a burger at Tap House across the street and it's not even close to what you'll get here. The tomato, lettuce and onion were super fresh (not the wilty mess you get at some places), the burger seasoned and delicious, and the fries crispy and good. My husband got the beef with onion rings and said the onion rings were the best he's ever had! Kudos to their chef! I'm not sure why other reviewers haven't figured out how good the food is here, but that's okay...more for me! I'm gonna be back.“

We went there for lunch for my husband birthday and wanted to watch a football game and got sits in front of not working tv . Which is kind of weird because the restaurant has tons of tv and many available tables. I ordered a glass of wine and it’s came in a regular glass, not a wine glass. After we asked for a wine glass the waitress said that they are using a regular glasses as a wine glass. She did exchange it for a wine glass but when I ordered a second glass she did bring me a dirty glass. Her words was: “it is your lipstick in a glass and I used your previous glass for wine”. I’m sorry but it is not a free refill and I’m paying for another glass of wine and I would like to have a clean glass. I honestly think then you pay a hundred dollars for lunch for family of three you deserve a clean glass. We are never come back to this place. I’m honestly done with it. It’s been very frustrating.“

“Returned yesterday for drinks and wings. Always a pleasant experience until yesterday. Terrible service from Amber. First she brought the wrong beer. Instead of trying to make it right, she made no effort. I ordered fish and chips this time . Very greasy fish patties. My friend ordered wings. After 15 or more minutes of waiting, I had to ask the bartender for utensils and napkins. My friend requested additional blue cheese to go on two occasions. Never arrived. She smiled and appeared friendly. Maybe she was having a bad day. Regardless, we left her an appropriate tip for bad service.“
