“When I used to live in West Chicago a couple of years ago, my fiancé now husband and I used to go there all the time and his Uncle Mike. I recommend this place 100%, the drinks are good, the bartenders are friendly, and the Viper Burger was our favorite. Alan is an awesome guy with a great sense of humor. The atmosphere is chill, welcoming and you'll have a great time. When I say to stop by The Bunker, I mean it lol 😃. Whenever we are in town again, we are definitely going to try stopping by. 😌✨“

“Not only have I loved Hawthornes from when I was a kid growing up in West Chicago! It was the PERFECT place to have my wedding. Lou, Heidi and Kelly did fantastic and helped make my dream come alive! Every question I had they answered and were able to accommodate so much! Heidi was in CONSTANT communication with me and was able to give advice and help me through the whole process. Her suggestions were so helpful and she helped during the ceremony and reception. I could not have done it without them. This place treats you like family and has amazing service! When my husband and I went to pick up our things the next morning we were planning on taking 2 trips and Lou let us borrow his truck that is how amazing and friendly they are! WE LOVE YOU HAWTHORNES! Thanks for making our wedding the best day of our lives(: not to mention EVERY guest couldn’t stop talking about how fun the venue was and there was something for everyone to do, wiffleball, volleyball, giant beer pong, bags, dancing, and more! Everyone was able to have fun the whole time!“

“We have always enjoyed VT but this was poorly managed. We came in on a Wednesday and ask to sit at a booth. The booth they sat us at was right next to a party they had going on. And people were standing right at the edge of the booth and was extremely loud. Why they didn't put the party separated in the empty section by the bar would be more appropriate. It seems they were over the limit on the one side. So we asked to move to a booth that was empty. They said we couldn't move to that booth as it wasn't open. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere.“

We enjoyed the food, service, prices were good, ambiance was cozy & cabin like feel. We sat at a low/ standard table. They had many high top tables as well all the tables seemed very nice, every place to sit seemed like it would be comfy.“

“I LOVE the Friday Fish Fry, but they’ve got enough menu options for everyone to enjoy a meal. The fresh fish, awesome wings, burgers, and rib-eye steak sandwich are all delicious. Pair any meal with the beer or drink of your choice, catch a game on one of their multiple TVs and you’ve got a nice evening! The price first had me sketchy thinking it wasn’t going to be good lol because how is it this cheap and the quality is better than a place I would pay over 25$ for. The ribeye steak sandwich is amazing cooked to perfection. The fries and cheese were so good and so was the cheesecake! I definitely am going to take the kids out here one day. “service was awful. wings were small and they only had half of the meat on the leg pieces. then they charge 3 dollars for the sauces. the tea tasted like it was old or going rancid. I've been there about a year ago and had a good experience. I won't be going back. the waitress got the order wrong as well. Zero stars this time around. unfortunately there won't be a next time.“
