“We have always enjoyed VT but this was poorly managed. We came in on a Wednesday and ask to sit at a booth. The booth they sat us at was right next to a party they had going on. And people were standing right at the edge of the booth and was extremely loud. Why they didn't put the party separated in the empty section by the bar would be more appropriate. It seems they were over the limit on the one side. So we asked to move to a booth that was empty. They said we couldn't move to that booth as it wasn't open. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere.“

Lou, Heidi and Kelly did fantastic and helped make my dream come alive! Every question I had they answered and were able to accommodate so much! Heidi was in CONSTANT communication with me and was able to give advice and help me through the whole process. Her suggestions were so helpful and she helped during the ceremony and reception. I could not have done it without them. This place treats you like family and has amazing service! When my husband and I went to pick up our things the next morning we were planning on taking 2 trips and Lou let us borrow his truck that is how amazing and friendly they are! WE LOVE YOU HAWTHORNES! Thanks for making our wedding the best day of our lives(: not to mention EVERY guest couldn’t stop talking about how fun the venue was and there was something for everyone to do, wiffleball, volleyball, giant beer pong, bags, dancing, and more! “Salsa 17 has always been one of our families favorite restaurants. They have delicious food, great service and a casual fun atmosphere. Yesterday they went above and beyond for us. We were hosting a large party at our home and reserved a food truck from another business. 5 minutes before our party started we received a call that the food truck was not able to show up. I called Salsa 17 and with no notice they were able to cater a fajita bar for 40 people in just over an hour. The manager I spoke to was accommodating and so kind. The food was outstanding and plentiful. I highly recommend Salsa 17 for both in person dining and catering!“

They were so helpful, let us set up early, refrigerated a cake for us, had appetizers out super quick! I called and the owner answered, I explained i didn't have a car at the moment and he personally delivered the order himself. “This cute pub/restaurant offers a large variety of very affordable dishes which also include daily specials so be sure to ask your server for daily offerings.

I personally came here for food not alcoholic beverages and I brought my service dog with me on both visits.

First day I ordered their johnson bratwurst extremely delicious if you choose to add sauerkraut too and it comes with a choice of side so I got the seasoned curly fries and my Pyrenees gave it an enthusiastic 5 paws 🐾 up even though he only has 4 paws. The pub is very casual and an older group of men seem to be frequent customers here.

Yesterday my second visit I had my friend come here to and he also loved his order a very generous Bowl of chicken soup and a fish sandwich and I got the fish tacos with a small side of Spanish rice.

Everything is simple, inexpensive and tasty and very close to the Palatine Metra station in case you need to kill time before catching your train.

Servers here on both occasions are kept quite busy and are extremely friendly. A great place to relax with cheap eats.“

“I was just there I've never seen this. what the dub on Tuesday was such fun. I really think that you'd have fun. What The Dubs??? where a part of a movie is on screen you have to pick you own style.to finish the movie scene. so much fun we all had a great time.“

“I stopped by this place while waiting for an oil change nearby. The layout of the restaurant was really fun — you can see the ice rink right next to it, which felt straight out of a high school movie. I loved the classic American diner vibe. It wasn’t too crowded, which made it feel even more local and cozy.

There were claw machines and candy dispensers here and there, which added to the charm. The server was super friendly and welcoming. I ordered a drink, some chili, and a burger. The food wasn’t amazing, but it was decent. Overall, it’s a very chill place. I feel like it’d be a fun spot to stop by once in a while to grab a drink and hang out with a friend.“
