The thoughtfully designed space and beautiful ambiance create a warm, humble atmosphere where every detail shows care and no corners are cut. Many reviewers call it their favorite sushi spot and recommend returning for the Aqua Roll, gyozas, edamame, and the variety of sushi. The gyozas are crispy, the sushi fresh, and the presentation very nice. The lava cake is spongy and so good. Service is quick and attentive; a minor mistake on a roll was replaced promptly. Kid friendly with good tableware for little ones, and the cold sake pairs well with sushi. Overall, Black Pearl delivers a downtown‑Chicago style experience in the Glenview area that exceeds expectations and earns a 10/10 rating.
