Ema in Glenview offers a lovely dining experience with welcoming staff and knowledgeable servers. The menu is a mix of Ema and Aba, with dishes full of flavor and delicious. The restaurant design is on-point with a Mediterranean vibe, creating a perfect dinner setting. The revamped menu offers classic dishes like charred eggplant as well as new options like Octopus Carpaccio and Spicy Brisket Kefta. The Passion Fruit G&T and Old Fashioned cocktails were light and bold, while the Slow-Cooked Leg of Lamb melted in the mouth. The show-stealer was the 10-layer Honey Cake, not overly sweet and very creamy. The roasted almond and garlic spread, sweet potato latkes, California salad, and chicken kebobs were all highly recommended. The wait staff was awesome, and the food was so good and perfectly timed. The service was great, never too much of a disruption but always ready to be of service. The hummus w/ Lamb ragu was so flavorful and tender. The grilled chicken kebob platter was so juicy and perfectly seasoned. The Triple Chocolate torte was to die for, soft and not too sweet.
