“Such a welcoming and comfortable spot, along with excellent coffee both iced and hot and really good sliced turkey and ham with cheese sandwiches that they make here. Maddy was not only extremely pleasant but also very helpful in helping us get a new station on the television so we can keep up with the weather. Her pleasant calm demeanor really made for a very nice break in the middle of a very cold and snowy day.”

“The history of this tavern is one of the best in Lake County Indiana. Positioned in what used to be an old Indiana town where the stagecoach used to stop here to give its passengers a rest, eats and drink. What a wonderful building . a building that even holds in the basement stories of the prohibition . A place that one day progress will destroy. Enjoy it while it’s still here..”

“One of my favorite places to have a perfectly prepared dinner. The food never disappoints. Portions are large, so taking home enough for tomorrow's lunch is always possible. The service is really great. Most of the servers have been there for a long time so they know the menu well and are attentive without being obsessive. My favorite on the menu is the Tournedos of Beef. The sauce over them is wonderful.”

“Previously, I'd only drank beer there. 🤣🤣 More recently though, I attended a craft making event there and stayed to eat afterwards. The restaurant has a nice side room with a fireplace that is great for events like this craft one. Afterwards I stayed to eat and chose the poutine pictured. It is a twist on poutine because it had sausage slices and their in-house-prepared jalapeños. It is a spicy dish and also tasty. They also have a nice variety of beer, cocktails, and wine. I would go back and recommend this restaurant. It is cozy inside as well, like a cabin.”

“Honestly can’t say enough good things about this place, we had them to cater my nephew’s rehearsal dinner and everyone was amazing from the very first phone call, we spoke with the mangers and owner, they made recommendations, delivered an excellent dinner when they said they would, and picked up the pans afterwards, all the guests were raving about the food and the owner even called to make sure everything was perfect! Would definitely work with them again! Thanks to everyone for making such an amazing dinner and taking that stress off the families!”

“The Line is one of those places you stumble into once and suddenly it’s your spot. It’s got that perfect mix of chill vibes, good music, and bartenders who pour like they actually want you to have a good night.
Drinks are strong, prices are fair, and nobody’s pretending to be fancy 🤣🤣. It’s the kind of bar where you can show up in sweats or dressed up and nobody cares either way.

The crowd’s always friendly (in a “we’ve all had a week” kind of way), and the atmosphere is fun, lowkey, and real.
