“How can you go wrong hanging out where Al Capone used to hang out? Just the history pf this place alone makes it a must stop. Then the reasonable prices and friendly service will keep you around.”
“A cozy bar and grill with great live music. PERFECT!! Unfortunately we didn't try the food, but it sure looked and smelled good. The waitress was awesome, wish I could remember her name. Definitely will be back here.”
“Visited the Corner Cafe today. A very decent varied food menu, good stuff and nice friendly staff. I particularly liked that they had good iced coffees available which is unusual for a breakfast/lunch place.”
“If you are a Cadbury candy freak, then find your way here. They have candy from across the pond that is not easy to find here. It is a great little shop with candy, flavored popcorn, and ice cream. Friendly service and the owner tries to find traditional things from her childhood. She told me about the Walnut Whip and how hard it was for her to find. What an incredible treat! It was amazing. AND they have Curly world's which is the old Marathon bars!! This place is worth the drive. If you are driving far, I would call and ask what they have in stock, as they sell out often.”
“My husband and I just stopped in for some breakfast. We are headin' back home to Louisiana from Chicago. ( Son's Navy Graduation) Everything was 5⭐️!! Very friendly, Food was down home good!!! Easy access from the highway. Thank you Windmill Family!!”
“My first time here and I am impressed ! I ordered the gyro with small fry and bottled pop and not only was my order made quickly but it was hot and fresh! I dined in and the atmosphere is so comfortable and the tables and floor were so clean and well kept, I live in chicago but I would defintly travel back, keep up the great work!!!”
“I love this place! It's the 1st place my boyfriend took me on his Harley! And we will be there this saturday....3 years later with my amazing guy!Bartenders are fantastic and friendly. We definitely recommend.”
“Great bar, I use to frequent when living in Crescent City, IL . Everyone friendly, talkative, Bar keep friendly. The only way to miss place is if you're not watching where you are driving. I like the old town feeling here. I think Suzy's is definitely a must try place for anyone, who like friendly places to go to!”
“We are regular customers & enjoy the wonderful food. It’s always a delight to see Joanna & Jen too, because they are warm & welcoming young ladies.I consider them “my girls!””
“For sure it wouldn't be a surprise if this were the best Mexican restaurant in Peotone, because it may be the only one in town of course. It has a lack of competition, and sometimes there's also a lack of flavor or spiciness. Del Carmen is a small place with a family owned atmosphere. Prices are pretty good for the big portions. There's the typical items like margaritas, and the food like burritos and tacos. Came at lunch and it wasn't busy. It only has a few tables but there was plenty of room inside. There's also a gaming area of video slots. Has a pretty casual atmosphere. This looks like it used to be a fast food restaurant. Parking lot still has the drive thru markings and menu. To be honest the building looks kind of dumpy, but it's better inside though. As for what to get, we had some good choices. The drink menu of course includes margaritas. It's about $6 for the small, and these still were pretty big glasses. Margaritas were authentic, as in saltier than the ones usually served. As for the food we got some of the basics. The Burrito comes with choice of protein, or you can get the Vegetariano. It's about $8 for this one. This was filled with beans, cheese, which I left out, lettuce, and tomatoes. Just okay, but it still wasn't bad. There's of course free chips and salsa. Has lots of classic Mexican American items. It's not that authentic to be honest, but it's certainly better than Taco Bell s**** There's plenty of good drinks, and the food menu includes burritos, tortas, and options for meat eaters and vegetarians.”
“Went to see Stevie Starlite with my daughter, for my birthday. Had a fantastic time. It's been about 20 years since I saw him. The food was awesome..service and atmosphere fantastic too !!Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp & stairs.. so handicap people like myself are more than able to get in”
“The landscaper here is this hippy-looking man with long sandy blonde hair that sometimes works at night and is sometimes barefoot. He walks around planting wildflowers, watering things, and talking to butterflies. If you ask him a question he gives you a 30 min. to hour speech on the importance of planting native plants. I met someone there once that said anytime they have a gardening or environmental question they go eat there in hopes he's there so they can get answers without paying for it or having to do a lot of search on the internet. Last time I was there, my boyfriend & I didn't care that it took too long to get our food, because we learned all about Monarch Butterflies & Milkweeds. The time before that he gave me a bag of native wildflowers he said he just collected that morning.”
“Glad to see new owners and new faces, not to mention very excited they are open again. Everyone I met today was extremely polite and wanted to make sure my experience was top notch. If you have been avoiding them because of previous ownership now is the time to visit again! I would also like to add it was extremely clean.”
“Service is usually fast & something's I have to send my food back for correction but overall it's a nice locationKid-friendliness: They have a play area”
“This is the definition of a small town friendly business. The products offered are of the highest quality and the people who provide the service are unsurpassed. Bravo! The owners Jim and Amy Williams have hit the bullseye here.”
