“First off food was really good but was a tad bit on the spicy side. Also, wish they had fountain drinks instead of cans. Also, the service is beyond slow. Waited about 10 minutes for someone to come by for drinks and the waitress never came back to ask if everything looked ok and for refills. Its clear the staff here are not trained at all”

“I went in store around 3pm on a Saturday and ordered 3 maple donuts and 3 Boston creams. 2 of the maple donuts were hard as a rock. I went thru the drive thru, showed her how hard it was and they have me a free half dozen to compensate for the hard ones. She didn't have to do that, they NORMALLY don't do that. It made me have so much more trust for this Dunkin. Thank you!!!!”

“The service at CM Chicken was absolutely amazing! The staff was so attentive and friendly. Our server (or maybe the manager) noticed we might need a phone stand and brought one to us without even being asked — such a thoughtful gesture! The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Everything about this place was perfect — great food, great service, and a very warm atmosphere. Definitely coming back again! 💛🍗”

“We live 2.5 hours south of Lake Villa, but we were meeting some friends from Florida for dinner. They were in the area for their grandson’s graduation from Great Lakes Naval Academy. Found this place via Google and it had great reviews, with good reason. We wish we lived closer because it would be a favorite for sure. Probably the best bruschetta and lasagna I’ve had in a very long time. Everyone loved their entrees. We tried multiple pasta dishes and the pizza. Prices were very reasonable and our service was exceptional. Excellent dining experience all around. Highly recommend.”

“Highly recommend trying Merienda’s. I went there based on a recommendation from a friend. Loved the vibe, mom/pop, cute restaurant, with a lot of delicious options. Tried the spicy shrimp with garlic rice, pancit, ube latte with oat milk, pink calamansi lemonade, & mango cheesecake. Delicious! Will definitely go back to try other dishes. Very reasonably priced for the portion size. The guy at the register was friendly & enthusiastic with helping us select our entree.”

“I took my boys here on a Saturday at around 4:30 after a trip to the Volo museum. We were immediately greeted by a friendly, knowledgeable and attentive waitress. The appetizer plate had the best onion rings and these creamy smoky bacon Gouda Mac n cheese bites that were to die for! Pan pizza came out as a deep dish and my teenager loved it. My oldest and I got the rib and broasted chicken combo…. OMG No regrets! The chicken was seasoned well with a delicious, crispy, light breading and the ribs were fall off the bone scrumptious with a perfect smoky/sweet bbq sauce. Do NOT skip the peach cobbler!! The warm, crispy peaches and streusel topping tasted like it was made with love. What a great place and we absolutely love our server. She was engaging and knew the menu. Will definitely return!”
