“I recently moved into the area and had a gift card for schoops so i decided to stop in for lunch on a weekday afternoon. I had the schoops mickey which I'm not sure what the difference is between that and just a normal cheeseburger. Service was nice from the ladies. Atmosphere is like a retro diner. The place was well kept which makes me think they intend to keep that vibe going. At the time of this review, I paid about $18 for the burger, small fries, and a coke. That's not including tip. It's certainly not a place for the budget minded.“

“They have the best cheeseburger in Chicago. I went there in 2012, and 2013 on Kedzie, and omg it’s the best. I used to live in Highland Indiana and I took public transportation which it was GPTC bus to Downtown Hammond, and pace bus from Downtown Hammond Indiana to Downtown Harvey Illinois, and pace 349 from Harvey Transportation Center to 111th and Western, and CTA Route #112 bus from 111th and Western to 111th and Kedzie. Well now since I finally move to Chicago Auburn Gresham with my fiancé, and now I live 15 minutes away. I take 79th Street bus from 79th and Ashland to 79th and Kedzie, and transfer to CTA Route #52A Southbound and go all way to 111th and Kedzie. I’m even more glad you guys reopened which I had no idea where you guys relocated at Thanks to my friend Tracy for telling me where it is. I went there with my fiancé Raymon. I’m so glad you guys are amazing, and the service was great too. I’ll be back. This place is even very affordable.“

“I am still 1000% convinced that Culver's is the best fast casual burger place. Hell, even better than McDonald's, Wendy's and BK. Even though BK has gotten WAY better than before. I still haven't had the chance to eat at In N Out yet but so far nothing beats Culver's. The only one that may come a bit close to defeating the mighty Culver's is Shake Shack, but, still, Culver's is king. EVEN if they're based in Wisconsin and are assumedly Packers fans, I'll let it slide. Me being a Bears fan and all. 😎🐻“

“I am not notable, so my opinion may be of little consideration for most. This stated, the pancakes I've had here rival some of the best I have ever tasted. This is without mentioning the Chorizo, the eggs, and their choice of spices and peppers. The food here as of this date 6/30/26, is some of the best food I have had.“

“The food is excellent. The Italian Beef is The best italian beef I've had. The meat was well seasoned, well proportioned and not dry. The bread was also really good. The polish was also excellent. The polish was well cooked and well flavored. All the way had peppers and onions and they went well with the polish. Cash only spot, to go only.“

No other place like this place down here in Dolton or near NWI makes it like this place!
I hate hotdogs but beef polish is a different story!

Also if the white polish guys are there they definitely taste much better and I could tell because I’ve been here so many times. When I’m in Chicago I go to Jim’s Original. When I’m down here I only go to JJ Sausage.“

“We really enjoy the food plus the prices are very reasniable . We have tried almost everything on the menu and have enjoyed it all. Blake is an excellent bartender and host who makes you feel at home. He has a friendly personality and always has a smile on his face. Megan is a wonderful waitress who is friendly and outgoing. Best of all she makes us feel special because she always remembers what we like best. The owner (Roger) is a great person and always greets us with a big smile. “The food was great. Love the onion rings. The host on the other hand, told my sister that we had to move to a different seating because the seat we was sitting at originally is for more than two people. So we moved to a different seat. Two caucasian lady come in and sit at the same table we moved from and nothing at all was said to them. We later was told that we can seat ourselves, which makes this situation even more confusing. Why did the male host ask us to switch our seat???? Food: 5/5 | Service: 2/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5“

“I come to the oak Lawn establishment quite often, but haven't been there in a while due to work commitments . I was in last week and as usual, I ordered with Bill at the cash register. He jokes with me as he knows what I like, but more importantly, he was genuinely concerned that I was ok because he hadn't seen me in some time. I always get 2 shack burgers, and a drink. He calls me tht best dressed man in the place as I still get dressed in a suit everyday to go into the office. Great sense of humor.“

$4 regular onion rings came with literally only 4 onion rings. $1/ring is crazy so that’s the only feedback. Will say they were nice and crispy tho but still either overpriced, but more likely the gentleman serving out too few on accident.“

“I no longer live in that area I live about an hour away but when I am in that area I will go out of my way to go here their food has always been excellent is definitely worth the drive for me anyway have been going there for over 20 years it's one of those little places that really never changes and I like this the food has always been fantastic well worth it well get what I always get there they're super taco is the best I've ever had the other food there is just as good I highly recommend this place“
