“So I'm VERY happy that the best taco spot on the Westside has opened a 2nd location in the Southwest burbs! This is legit Peeples tacos! Just put down 7 mixed and I figure to be hitting this place 2x a week The food is outstanding! And they take credit cards unlike the Chicago Ave location!. The service is great and the staff is friendly. They even have specials for certain types of tacos! The ambiance is really chill, it's a nice neat storefront location with TVs to watch. Can't recommend it enough!“

“I love this place! The chicken Marsala is incredible! We also had eggplant roll acting as an appetizer, linguine with clams,gnocchi and manicotti! All great and we all have dinner for tomorrow! Service is great and always like talking to the owner, who makes you feel like you are his personal guests! Only suggestion for improvement is to assign the waitstaff to one area! “I've been here with some friends a couple of times and they don't disappoint. The service is great, the bartenders are really good, the food is really good and it gets a bit crowded but you never feel closed in. The outside accommodation was comfortable even when it was cold out, and the lower level option was great since we had a few more people. I was missing an item and called to explain the situation and they fixed it right away, no hassle or complications. We will definitely be back for our monthly get togethers!!!“

“Oh my gosh!! This is the most amazing place ever. We had fantastic service, fantastic food and such a wonderful time. The food just goes beyond words. I can’t even describe how delicious it is. If you want to have an incredible dining experience, you need to stop in. Our waiter was Don and he did an absolutely perfect job. The hostess greeted us immediately with a pleasant smile and a very polite and professional attitude. Our waiter Don was Very attentive to our needs and very knowledgeable about the specials and everything on the menu. I can’t say enough about our experience. What a reward. “I loved this place! From the moment you walk in, you get an amazing cozy vibe. The waitresses are very loving and welcoming. The food was very good. I would say it’s the best I’ve tried around the area. We got the combo special number 1, banana and Nutella crepes (with right amount of sweetness) and cheese blintzes (a little too sweet side). We also ordered biscuits and gravy (that didn’t make it to the picture), which were surprisingly good.“

“Very fairly priced hotdogs, polish, burgers and more. There is a nice drink choice with import, domestic, and local area favorites. You have multiple burger choices. There is a wondering, fish and chips, and other choices. Service was stellar. On a Saturday night the restaurant was full. Parking is a little challenging, but does rotate spaces in a timely manner.“

“Nice local spot with affordable prices ! Small cozy place . So best to get there a little early so you don’t have to wait for a seat . My service was fast and attentive. All the workers are really friendly . I got the Greek French Toast with whip cream . I recommend the Hash Browns . The other dish I shared was the Hobo Skillet . I really enjoyed the cut up potato’s in the dish . Going to come back for lunch next time to try the Sloppy Joe’s . This is a cash only place and they only stay open till 2pm .“

“Ordered a small thin crust from uber eats juss being lazy & not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Pizza sauce is very tasty, wish I had ordered it on the side for dipping my pizza in. Just the right amount of crisp in the crust and it was cooked Just how I like it. I will definitely order from here again. The only thing I didn't like was that my pizza wasn't sealed in any type of way to prevent it from being tampered with while it was being delivered. Maybe perhaps some stickers to prevent the box from being open, or put the pizza in a paper bag then staple it up at the end. Otherwise very good pizza.“

“I loved my meal so much that I had to immediately sit down and write this place a review. I had the crispy steak crispy mix with fries and and drink, and it was worth every single penny. It was around $15, which, when places like McDonald's want $13 for a Big Mac meal, there's really no point in NOT paying the extra $2 for something that tastes this amazing. The person (i'm assuming owner) who took my order was kind and friendly, I felt welcome. You'd be surprised how many places fail at that. “We started with an irish roll filled with corned beef,cabbage, and cheese, followed by a beef soup very filling, luch time i got the celtic charming sandwich smoked butt,onions, mushrooms,cheese, i just eat half a lot of meat, very please i will comeback.“

“The only reason I’m leaving a 4 is because of the ladies restroom. Plenty of soap, no paper towel, and the air dryer was not up to par. There’s a slip and fall risk because of where the sink is in relation to where the hand dryer is. Lots of water on the floor, and the floor is slick. Otherwise, the food was great, and our server was amazing, I think her name was Tiffany. Great menu suggestions and very personable! I’ll definitely be back!“

In general the food options are pretty good, but - I have many friends who are vegan or vegetarian. It's hard to find a place that offers any unique options for them Having a disappointed friend always detracts from a lunch date (A soup or another cooked veggie option would be surprising and delightful!).They were also out of the poppyseed dressing that really makes the salad it's for, that was another 2 friends slightly disappointed. We all did enjoy the tea options! Please get some more peach in stock soon :)Vegetarian options: There is a veggie wrap, does have feta cheese and ranch. It would be really nice to see a few more vegetarian/ vegan options, veggie wraps seem like the default option for every restaurant.“

“De Mar's in Blue Island, IL is a must-visit for anyone in the mood for classic American diner fare. The restaurant has a cozy, old-school feel that instantly transports you to a simpler time. Every time I sit down in a booth it makes me feel like i can talk about nothing, (a Seinfeld reference). The menu is full of classic diner dishes, from hearty breakfast options to juicy burgers and sandwiches to homemade soups and salads. I particularly enjoyed the Tuna melt, which was perfectly put together with just the right amount of cheese and tune on white bread. The French toast was also excellent, with a soft and fluffy texture that melted in my mouth. But if you want the traditional, just order the all American breakfast, 2 sunny side up eggs with hash browns and two slices of bread, along with a cup of coffee. Everything is delicious. The staff at De Mar's are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. They were quick to offer suggestions on what to order and were always on hand to refill drinks or answer any questions. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. There is plenty of seating, so you won't have to wait long to be seated, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and service. Overall, I highly recommend De Mar's to anyone looking for a traditional American diner experience. “Really like this joint! Be careful on the heat level you choose cause anything past medium isn't for the faint of heart. Food cooked fresh to order (which is what I expect and adore), good beers, good customer service. Should make tender Tuesday permanent, at least for 1 Tuesday a month. Keep frying that coop baby!“

Brought the crab cakes, wedge salad and grilled salmon back for my wife and they were all gone in about 10 minutes despite feeding a fussy baby at the same time. The butterscotch espresso martini is a decadent treat you can't skip. My only critiques are that as a whole, the prices are a bit steep, the space is small and probably not great for a large group, and the tomatoes in the Caprese were disappointingly bland. But if you're looking to spoil yourself and/or someone close to you, this is an excellent venue for it.“

The Greek salad is our go-to, always fresh and large for some leftovers the next day! Gyros are fresh and always willing to add some extra yummy sauce. “I really want to gate keep this spot! The hours are until he sells our, which is usually by 4 p.m.! The ribs brisket and Mac & Cheese are my faves. However, I think if you order greens a corn muffin should be included. Staff, service, and cleanliness are excellent and consistent!“
