“I went there for the first time. The vibe, service and food was great. my only issue was the automatic 18 percent gratuity. it was only two people who had one drink each, burgers and appetizer. Our bull was 89.00. Also we were not given an actual bill we were just told our bill was 89.00. I didn't appreciate that and have never experienced that before.“

She is very familiar with event hosting and has a solid understanding of the wedding industry. It was a pleasure to work with Dani for her reliable communication, attention to detail, and professional coordination of vendors and reception timeline. Dani respected our floor plan design so the seating arrangement was exactly what we envisioned for our wedding. There was ample seating and space for our DJ, photo booth, dessert table and a gifts table. Our guests especially loved the food and the open bar. Overall, we were pleased with the entire server staff of The Emerald Green. If you are interested in a beautiful venue to host your next event, we recommend this!“

“My server Irene was nice and very attentive. She suggested a couple of entrees. The Billionaires Bacon Burger was satisfying and the Sweet Potato Fries were delicious!! The Pineapple Habanero Wings were a solid 10/10. They also have the coldest Draft Beers I've ever had so that's definitely a plus. The atmosphere was comfortable. I genuinely recommend you give them a try.“

“well I'm really torn on if I should recommend or not... most of the time the food is fine but when it comes to fundraisers they are really really horrid. let's put a box out and not put anything on the box so the majority of the people have no idea about tossing their receipts in there for a cause... im pretty sure they make enough money where they can put something on the boxes for the customers... if they are so scared about losing money don't even bother... yesterday I was there around 4 and not one person threw a receipt in the box.. I was the first.... second fundraiser and second time unless you already knew, had no idea about it.. .“

“I really wanted to love this place because I truly appreciate supporting a family owned business, and the atmosphere had that welcoming, hometown feel. The service was friendly, and you can tell this restaurant means a lot to the people who run it. Unfortunately, the food did not match the experience. Parts of the meal were overcooked and burnt (steak and pork chops), while other items (like the pancakes) were a tad undercooked. It seemed more like an issue with kitchen execution than the quality of ingredients.

I would absolutely come back if the cooking consistency improved, because this business has great potential and the kind of charm you want to support. Hoping they can make some adjustments in the kitchen this could easily be a local favorite with the right chef.“

“Let me tell you something, I’ve been dining with Kiya’s Kitchen since we were both back in Indiana! Not only does the food taste like your mama/auntie/granny in that kitchen cooking, but it’s also that same energy you feel when you walk in! Dymica is the sweetest!! I can’t even name a favorite for you because I truly have loved everything I’ve tried from the turkey chops meal, to the fried chicken, to the pot roast, the catfish, to the egg rolls, and also what brought me to this search today: That jerk chicken fried rice she used to offer!! I’m craving it 😂. And don’t get me started on the dessert.. especially that peach cobbler omggg (and I don’t eat everyone’s peach cobbler!). I haven’t been able to stop by like I’d like as of recent with me going back to school and still working FT, but best believe I’ll be making my way that way sooner than later. “Impeccably clean restaurant! The food is amazing and fresh. My Skillet was delicious as the fresh ingredients made the difference! Home made and not from a Sysco can! Entire staff was attentive to their tables. Debi was very nice and attentive.
The owner is friendly, and you can tell he appreciates his staff.

“Went here for the first time and what a treat! I love 50s stuff and this place is a hidden gem to me. I had an award winning experience from the minute we walked in. Total 50s decor and the aroma of fresh coffee and lively conversation was everywhere. The place is a bit small but so welcoming. They have tables and chairs and a counter to sit at. I felt like I took a step back in time. Love it!!!! I had a vegetarian skillet that was very delicious. The servers were excellent and so attentive to our needs. The place was extremely busy but was still working like a well oiled machine. Everyone was having a great time as I was looking about the room and enjoying everything the place had to offer. We will be going back again and can’t wait to try the other items they offer. Great job everyone!!!“

“I had heard they had prime rib tacos, I have never had prime rib tacos. I guess you can only get them on Wednesday so I called and ordered carry out. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The taco itself was absolutely delicious! So savory and moist. I am glad I ordered 3 of them. I will 100% be going back.“

“Unfortunately, my first visit here was really disappointing 😕 The fried food tasted like it had been cooked in old grease, which gave everything an unpleasant flavor. The chicken was especially bad and didn’t taste fresh at all 🍗❌ The onion rings were also not enjoyable and seemed overcooked and greasy 😞 The only thing I actually liked was the sandwich, which was decent 👍 Everything else was so disappointing that I couldn’t even finish it. I honestly don’t think I would come back again after this experience 💔“

“It's always a pleasure to go to Old Town the white people treat you so good down there the food is great the drinks is a reasonable price it won't hurt your pocket so I try my best stay away from black owned club because black owned club black owned places are too high and too expensive they hurt black people pocket so old town is the place to go I'm keeping all this 100 💯“

“Well, if they cook your food properly, it's not bad... however, if they don't and you need to send it back to cook it (not a fan of raw burgers 🤷‍♀️) and it comes back the same way... be prepared to not eat and pay for the meal anyway. I asked for it to be removed from our bill (over $100 total so not just a couple things) and they removed it after a small "fight" but literally charged us for a basket of fries cuz I ate a few fries off my plate, I guess. they don't take care of their mistakes nor do they care to make things right. Lost future business, everyone at the table was shocked.“

“Visiting the area and family wanted us to try their brews as one of their favorites. Tried a flight of 10 beers and favs were Tangerine Trackstar, Toxic Words, Lucifer in a haze, Immoveable King, Nuban overlord and the top one Here comes the reaper. We also had the Pretzel and queso for snacks. They were very good and fast. They also had ice tea which is not always available at breweries. I will say the art work gave me pause and some of the names being a Christian but I don't know the background to comment.“
