“Basic fast food but on point. Never been disappointed by anything and I've eaten here since like 5th grade. Beefs, Dogs all are good. Prices on point too, you might can find coupons in the mailers or papers that still circulate but I used to see them in the Value Saver that comes in the mail or the Penny Saver but that's been a while but really not checking for them either lol

Parking: Depends on location have been to almost all but definitely parking for at least 20 or more spacesmaybr.“

“I don't know were to begin, but I'll start with what everyone wants to know. The food here is delicious! I tried the fried shrimp and the fried catfish and OMG the breading is unlike any of the places around chicago that serve this style of food. I also ordered the turkey tenders for my wife and she said they were great. (And this was after reheating them in the oven) They have fresh cut fries and if you prefer the frozen stuff, you won't be a fan of the fries but it's what I like so they were a win for me. Just as a side bar, you have to try these chocolate chip cookies they have. You can tell they're not from pre made cookie dough. The chocolate has a rich taste and I warmed mine up before I had them, love at first bite! So treat yourself to some dessert, it's worth the calories. Last but not least, this place has great service. If you frequent restaurants with menus like this in the chicago area then you know what kind of service you normally get, not here! Me and my coworker had a great conversation with the owner and he's a pleasure to speak with and very friendly. If you're reading this, you're interested and I'm telling you to go see for yourself. It's definitely a Nu way for dining! (Even the side bread is different) ?“

What I go for is the gyros and fries the best gyro I have tried in the US and with fries,bev the best combo you could get and I get its a good distance from the city but if your just visiting it is the perfect place.“

“my husband had a taste for chicken I wanted a gyro so we went to Athens to get a gyro while we were there he noticed that they had a fried chicken dinner so we ordered it unfortunately being late in the day they were out of chicken but the owner went to the supply store and got the chicken took our oder and delivered it for free and the chicken was delicious would recommend Athens to everyone great service“

“Didn’t feel like driving downtown so I stopped here on my way home instead and was not disappointed! This was the closest I’ve had to a Jim’s Original polish in a long time! The only thing I’d say is they can grill them onions a lil bit more lol, but the polish was perfect! I don’t remember them being that big either lol, but it was great for $7. “The food is tasty but I was shocked by the quantity of meat in my gyros plate. It was just a gyros sandwich in a container with fries and fixings. Everywhere else I get a gyros plate it has enough meat for 2 or 3 sandwiches.the subs seemed to be lacking meat as well. Again first time getting it there and was just surprised.“

“There’s nothing to better start your Saturday morning than a good, hearty breakfast and a great tasting cup of coffee: Bailey’s is that place! I pass this restaurant often, yet I’ve never stopped to dine in, until today! I am so glad that I did! The service was truly top notch: from entry to exit! The servers, hostess, and waitresses were polite, friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. I did not have to ask for refills on my coffee, my waitress kept the Java following. I had a guess with me and we both had a hearty, delicious breakfast! I ordered their Denver Skillet: scrumptious to the very end. Not one flavor, overlap the other: each ingredient came together to make for a delicious meal. I love coffee and typically, they aren’t that good at breakfast restaurants. Not the case at Bailey’s. I was able to drink the coffee without any sugar-in-the-raw or dairy. The coffee served here is just plain on good to the last drop! I sat and watch how staff interfaced with each other and the guest: they were excellent! My guest had crepes, with bacon which she fell in love with! The crepes were served with fresh strawberries and crème. She absolutely enjoyed her meal. We both, continued complimenting the food and service. The restaurant was very clean. It didn’t have that “food smell” that can usually be found in other restaurants. The restroom was clean. I always scope out restrooms because I believe if they’re unsanitary, the food preparation might be as well. The restroom was clean and had a fresh smell to it. The entry of the restaurant reminds you of an old country porch: hospitable and inviting. I hope this restaurant maintains its charm and cleanliness, as well as great service and quality food offerings. I will be returning. I don’t understand the negative reviews I see. I can only speak for my experience which was an excellent one. I walked away highly pleased.“

“I gave it 4 stars on food only because I only had a hotdog. Still have to try something else. BUT they have over 100 different flavors of milkshakes. With so many flavors, I can't wait to try. There were 2 young people serving and they were polite, cheerful and very nice. I definitely will be going back.“

“Go to a Maxwell Street Express sometime. It's THEE Chicago fast food experience. Burgers and dogs priced so reasonably that you can't say no and they're served from what I can only assume are the same stands they were serving out of in the 70s. “Been going to this place since I was in grammar school. Even though its in a new building next to the old one cause it burned down. I give this place 10 stars. The food is outstanding. The steak hot and steak sweet sandwiches and hoagie n fries with sauce on them are thee best. They also have the old school cookies n ice cream. Yummy so good. Its 2022 and still continue to go from 1979 to now. This place is worth the trip. People who grew up on this and have moved out of town still come right back to the Hoagy shop and buy extra to take with them to go outta town and take on there travels.
