“I've had the privilege of stopping by the Squaw Bar on several occasions and have enjoyed every visit. What is refreshing about this establishment is that it's cozy and not over refined like other establishments. This means that one can get to know just who they are enjoying the company of. The Squaw Bar even has the latest technology that blends in well with a good old fashion campfire by the sands. I'm speaking of .SVG TV... no not your regular run of the mill squabbles from all over the globe but a personalized cast of stars that light up the evening sky. Take for example the ale tale of Helen Liz Hunt. It's an October ghost story told at this time in the light of the Hunters Moon. The legend says that Helen walks the .3 mile route from Hunt Ave on a westwards journey. She crosses Helendale Road and arrives at the Squaw Bar in search of dark rye and molasses bread 🍞. Helen pays for her meal in Indian Rupee legal tender and enjoys the Raisins And Honey as the Sultan as played by myself offers her a 🍔 hamburger bear hug.“

“This bar is the place to go! The staff are always so fun and inviting! They've got pool tables, dart boards, a golf machine and the slots are always a good time here! Happy hour and drink specials too! It's just a great neighborhood bar that is enjoyable for everyone. They even allow kids until 9pm and the fur babies are all welcome outside. Oh, the outside, it's amazing to say the least. They did such a good job with the remodel. They've got a huge volleyball court, a bags court with equipment you can use, and the outside bar is fully stocked! Just stop by there and support a local business. You won't regret it!“

My fiancé order steak tacos and I ordered a combination of chicken tinga, chorizo, and their house special campechano. Everything was amazing!!! My fiancé enjoys the spicier salsas and was offered a habenero red salsa. We sampled all three that was received and have nothing but good things to say about them all. “Went here for the first time a few weeks ago the staff and owner were super friendly and welcoming. I decided to go back to eat a few days later with my family all the food was great and we are quite picky!! This will definitely be one of our new go tos whether it be for lunch/dinner or just a quick beer. Very happy we tried it out!

Kid-friendliness: Was nice to be able to bring my kids in on a Sunday for lunch and not feel like we were out of place. Kids were happy with the food as well !“

“I came to try the meat loaf stack and my wife the steak sandwich. We thought the food was delicious, and the service was great. We arrived a little before 5 on Friday which was a good time because the restaurant filled up quickly after wards. We’ll definitely be coming back.“

“The bouncer is amazing, great sense of humor. Good atmosphere. Pool tables and darts usually already taken if you work late. Bartenders are pretty good but you have to not be shy or anxious or they probably won't serve you. Best Bloody Mary I've ever had that I didn't make myself, and also, everyone should try the Zoey if you like sweet drinks.“

I've been to every good wing place in the tri- state area and they have the best wings and blue cheese I've had. Can't miss with Anastasia's in Antioch.“

“I ordered the eight piece roasted chicken meal. It was the first time that I had eaten food from here. I was told the meal would be ready in 30 minutes. And it was actually ready in 20, and they accidentally originally charged me too little, then had to reverse the charge and then complete the correct charge. Granted the cashier seemed extremely green. The food was very good, but cold when I returned home. I will probably go there again.“

“Broken Oar is always a great time, especially on a summer Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere is lively, the crowd is fun, and the staff is consistently friendly and attentive.

We came by boat just to grab a few drinks and appetizers. Everything was good, but the churro fries were the standout of the day—absolutely worth ordering and highly recommended.

My only complaint is the docking situation. Getting from the docks to the restaurant requires walking through muddy, sandy terrain, which isn't ideal. More importantly, the docks sit very high above the water, and the exposed metal underneath ended up scratching our boat. If you have a typical recreational boat, I'd honestly think twice about arriving by water, as there's a real risk of cosmetic damage.

Despite that, the food, drinks, service, and overall atmosphere keep us coming back. We'll definitely be back—just probably by car next time.“
