“I've had the privilege of stopping by the Squaw Bar on several occasions and have enjoyed every visit. What is refreshing about this establishment is that it's cozy and not over refined like other establishments. This means that one can get to know just who they are enjoying the company of. The Squaw Bar even has the latest technology that blends in well with a good old fashion campfire by the sands. I'm speaking of .SVG TV... no not your regular run of the mill squabbles from all over the globe but a personalized cast of stars that light up the evening sky. Take for example the ale tale of Helen Liz Hunt. It's an October ghost story told at this time in the light of the Hunters Moon. The legend says that Helen walks the .3 mile route from Hunt Ave on a westwards journey. She crosses Helendale Road and arrives at the Squaw Bar in search of dark rye and molasses bread 🍞. Helen pays for her meal in Indian Rupee legal tender and enjoys the Raisins And Honey as the Sultan as played by myself offers her a 🍔 hamburger bear hug.“

“Tried this place while I was at Fox lake for the 4th mainly because it offers tavern cut pizzas. I got a pepperoni, the phili cheese steak and J’s beer pizza. Crust was thin and they do not skimp on toppings. If this was in the city, it would only be slightly below places like Pats or Michael’s as the crust is not as flaky. Philly cheese steak was surprisingly good, the J’s beer pizza is a bit spicy due to the peppercinis, the sausage on it is not as good as other places in the city. The ranch dipping they offer is awesome. I also tried the wings and they are well done, the sauce was on the side for pick up order to prevent it from being soggy which is a pro-move. Prices are very reasonable ($22 for large pepperoni, $27 for large specialty). This should be the only place you’re getting pizza in the Fox lake/Mchenry area.“

I decided to go back to eat a few days later with my family all the food was great and we are quite picky!! “Night out with the boys doesn't come very often but when it does you'd like to shoot a little bit of pool we're not from the neighborhood but not afraid to take a ride so we ended up at shooters they've got one in the city what's the atmosphere is a little different we shot lots of pool had some beers and tried some of the food I was designated driver for the night and looking for something non-alcoholic seems my only two options where an unsweetened tea or cranberry juice guess they could have used some Alternatives can't drink soda all night so a refreshing raspberry iced tea or something in the way would have been nice still had a great time will get back there again“

I have so many positive memories here from video game wars with friends (street fighter)to family parties, to a quick luncheon, to some fun live music events. “We love Steve's! Steve and Rita are the best, and so is the bartender Liz! It's one of our favorite places to hang out and play some darts. The backyard in the summer is beautiful, your surrounded by flowers, with a beautiful wooden swing and volleyball court. Definitely should check it out.“
