“We love Steve's! Steve and Rita are the best, and so is the bartender Liz! It's one of our favorite places to hang out and play some darts. The backyard in the summer is beautiful, your surrounded by flowers, with a beautiful wooden swing and volleyball court. Definitely should check it out.“
“There are lots of places to get wings now but this place, at least in northern Lake County, is the best place for them. Service is always good and friendly. Good selection of beers and cocktails too! Highly recommended for a casual meal with friends to enjoy great wings.“
“If you do go you’ll have the best time and service with the woman who always wears crop tops and leggings and the older woman who has platinum blonde hair they are kind fast and amazing the food is always amazing and perfect as well some of the other bartenders are way more interested in talking to their friends than serving but i won’t give less than 5 stars because of the two bartenders and the food“
“I've been coming to Anastasia's for a long time, even at their prior location. The staff is phenomenal, and we always sit at the bar. They know us by name, they are incredibly attentive, and are on top of refills, ordering and closing our checks. The atmosphere is always energetic and positive. It's hard to go and not find someone you know. The food is delicious, and I've never had a dish I didn't like. The kitchen is speedy, even when busy. They're great at showing the latest sports games on TV, and it can get crazy during football or hockey seasons. If you're looking for great food, energetic company, and attentive staff, look no further. Definitely a must eat in Antioch.“
“Ordered for my daughters end of year softball party. Everyone absolutely loved all of it!! We ordered chicken, barbacoa, and steak tacos with tamales. My husband, who LOVES tamales, asked why we didn't order more for just us and the girls and their siblings gobbled all of the tacos up. Every parent asked for contact information. Highly recommend. Hoping to order more in December!!“
“This was my first time here and I had a group event with about 12-15 people. I popped in and told the staff what I had planned and they were awesome. The service was outstanding and my group had a great time. We had pizza & wings which were very good. I will definitely be back!“
“Love me some Sandlots! I come for the Gumbo, honestly, but I've had a few other things on their menu, and have not been disappointed. I love that they offer a 'Southern' menu, and the corn beef dinner for St Patty's Day is the best in the area, hands down. I have very few critiques about Sandlots (I wish their tartar sauce for the fish fry wasn't sweet)- I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a low key bar/restaurant in the area that serves great food!“
“Pizza was horrible! Undercooked top with a burnt prepackaged bottom. Apps were cold and just not good( dried out and just low end) Drinks were top notch and our server was incredible! Love going here but the kitchen lacks the luster the bar has. It's unfortunate as a few years ago it was consistently good but now not much.“
“Went here for the first time a few weeks ago the staff and owner were super friendly and welcoming. I decided to go back to eat a few days later with my family all the food was great and we are quite picky!! This will definitely be one of our new go tos whether it be for lunch/dinner or just a quick beer. Very happy we tried it out!Kid-friendliness: Was nice to be able to bring my kids in on a Sunday for lunch and not feel like we were out of place. Kids were happy with the food as well !“
“I love this place for their AYCE fish-fry Fridays. They also have amazing beans & rice as well as hushpuppies. Annie is by far the best server in the place, 5-stars for her service. There is at least one server that would get a 0-star review for her service, I don't really remember her name. Everyone else there seems to provide high 3-4 star service. I haven't stopped in for any other meals. So, the food review is specific to the meal described. The place can get a bit crowded and loud, but what can you expect from a place with great food and service. That said, there has really only been one occasion that it was overwhelming crowed when I've gone.Parking: You really gotta get there before the dinner rush, otherwise you might not fine parking. They really don't seem to have enough space to accommodate the amount of parties they can fit inside the establishment.“
“I'm definitely a fan of this place. There's cornhole (or as I like to call it), plenty of pool tables, and delicious food! The only downside is that you have to be 21 to enter. However, the music here really sets the mood. Renting a table and pool for 2 hours cost us around $30, but it's still worth it for a fun time with friends or for a date.“
“What a delightful spot. Just what you want in a neighborhood bar. Stop by and meet some new friends. Love this place EXCEPT when someone jacks up the jutebox at 4 in the afternoon when everyone else is watching the news. We just left. Not everyone has your taste in music.“
“I've had the privilege of stopping by the Squaw Bar on several occasions and have enjoyed every visit. What is refreshing about this establishment is that it's cozy and not over refined like other establishments. This means that one can get to know just who they are enjoying the company of. The Squaw Bar even has the latest technology that blends in well with a good old fashion campfire by the sands. I'm speaking of .SVG TV... no not your regular run of the mill squabbles from all over the globe but a personalized cast of stars that light up the evening sky. Take for example the ale tale of Helen Liz Hunt. It's an October ghost story told at this time in the light of the Hunters Moon. The legend says that Helen walks the .3 mile route from Hunt Ave on a westwards journey. She crosses Helendale Road and arrives at the Squaw Bar in search of dark rye and molasses bread ðŸž. Helen pays for her meal in Indian Rupee legal tender and enjoys the Raisins And Honey as the Sultan as played by myself offers her a 🔠hamburger bear hug.“
“Rookies is a good stop for a great lunch or dinner. we stopped for all you can eat Fish Friday, the Fish, fries, and coleslaw were delicious. My husband loved the wing. Our bartender Taylor was fantastic. she helped with menu items, and made sure we were happy with our food. Taylor also made sure we were happy with our beverages. Rookies is lucky to have Taylor on their team. We will definitely be back. Kudos to the chef and Taylor for a great lunch time !“
“I have had the pizza, which is always tasty. Today, I didn't feel like cooking and ordered a Friday Fish Fry dinner to go! Was delicious with nice portions of cod, fries, hush puppies and cole slaw. Scott always gives great service and cooks everything to perfection! J's often has some nice events and bands too.“
“So, we usually head here after playing volleyball. It has really become a place where most of the locals go. It is a very interesting atmosphere cause most visitors know each other and bartenders know customers by name. You get a homely vibe when you enter. Great beer selection. The owner goes out of his way to introduce new beers from local or distant breweries. This place is one of the few which carries Zombie Dust from Three Floyds. Again, they have a great selection of beers. There is also gaming there. The food comes from Rosati's which is next door. Can't go wrong with having some wings, fries and pizza while enjoying drinks with friends. The bartenders make you feel welcomed which is a good reason to return often.“
“A Storied place, legendary for its erstwhile pool leagues, with patron owners, a static stock of barristas and "Cheers" regulars, a kitchenette for pizza and wings, fairly lucky slots, live bands, bingo nights, and best of all, "Kevo" the maestro who runs Karaoke, sings withal, and DJs like a pro.“
“Atmosphere is so welcoming and food is amazing! Friendly staff, makes you feel welcome. Mike, Jackie, Sharon, Hillary and Kate have served us multiple times and they could not be more helpful and polite! have highly recommend this establishment to many friends and they found a similar experience!“
“Happened to be in Antioch with my daughter and stopped in The Lodge for a late lunch. I had one of the best, if not the best chicken wrap with fries. It was wrapped, then heated on the outside, delicious. My daughter had a grilled cheese with tomato with onion rings, she loved it. We were too full to eat desert, but we took a piece of homemade tiramiso with. It was a slice of heaven. Great service and wonderful food“
