I came before they were closing and he took care of me , I absolutely love JJ Fish & Chicken! Every time I go, I order the chicken tenders, and they are always fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. It’s hard to find a spot that consistently delivers great food and service, but JJ Fish & Chicken nails it every time. “I came in tonight and was excited because I’ve been craving a jrito crunch and have been for about 3 years and my buddy Carl told all his fb friends that owner is a previous franchisee of jrs and they have the chil ito which is this same xact indgredients (yes same chili and cheese and same chips as jrito everything was phenomenal came from Thornton which is about a half hour plus drive. So so worth the drive I refused to touch anything til I got home so I could enjoy that first bite. Thank you to the owners for preserving the beautiful food of your past establishment only to bring it to your new establishment! Everything was phenomenal!!!“

“This might be the best place in the area for Chicago style food. Restaurant was very clean. All the hotdog ingredients were freshly sliced. The Combo Italian Beef and Sausage I had was excellent with Sweat Peppers and Hot Extra Juicy. Great hidden Gem for Chicago Style Food. If your in the area Its a must stop!“

“This place really hit the spot. Just one of those classic Chicago spots where the focus is all about the food. You can smell the grilled sausage and onions as soon as you walk in, that alone had me sold.

I ordered the Polish sausage, I just wanted something solid. But this one totally surprised me. It was loaded with chopped onions, thick tomato slices, a big crunchy pickle, and a couple sport peppers. Not your usual Maxwell Polish.

The sausage was grilled just right, nice and crisp on the outside, and super juicy when I bit into it. It came out hot, fresh, and fast, maybe a 5-minute wait. The staff was super friendly and welcoming.

If you're looking for a solid Polish or just want to try something that feels classic Chicago, this is it.“

“I moved from Chicago 40 years ago and haven't been to Parky's since I was a kid. It was our go-to hot dog spot prior to 1972 when we moved from River Forest. Going back was such a thrill for me after so long, and it hasn't changed! I had forgotten that these dogs come off the grill and aren't soaking in hot dog water for hours (not there is anything wrong with an HDW soak). I love a nice char on my dogs, so this was a pleasant surprise. So glad I made the detour!“

“The food is good but when it comes to ordering for delivery expect over an hour and a half wait. I don't know why it takes them so long to deliver a burger but it's outrageous. This problem has actually been the reason why sometimes I rather just order pizza and not Firehouse.

“Finally went to Wojo’s after hearing about it for ages. I was mostly curious about their shakes and I told myself I’d just grab one… but yeah, ended up ordering food too.

I tried the Oreo shake and it was exactly what I wanted, thick, creamy, and had real Oreo chunks in it. Not the fake syrup taste you sometimes get. This was Super good.

I also got a burger and honestly that’s what stood out the most. You can see the flames on the grill while they’re cooking, which is pretty cool. The burger came out hot and juicy with a nice char, seasoned just right. The bun actually held up the whole time without turning soggy, which I appreciated. Fries were crispy, golden, and they came out hot.

The vibe here is pretty cool, kind of old-school diner style. Staff was friendly and even though it was a weekend afternoon, I didn’t wait long at all.

I'll be coming to Wojo’s again, hopefully soon. This spot hits the mark.“
