“On a road trip with 3 ladies going out West and we wanted a real sit down breakfast. We kind of stumbled upon Knoxville Bar and Grill, and loved it from walking through the door. From the pictures of the local military, to the waitress Lynsee (sic), to the full plates, everything was great! I had the Western omelet with English muffin, and hashbrowns. It tasted great! My cup of coffee was never empty. Lynsee called all the regulars by name, brought their food to them, and knew little things about them and their family. Awesome to see that in a time of everything so anonymous.”
“Service can be a bit slow (because they're so busy) but the food is really great. My grandmother insists on driving to this location instead of going to the Galesburg location because of the food. Never had a bad experience.”
“Best little town bar we have been to out of our many random bar stops!!!! Bartender was so sweet and personable and the locals were like family!! And best part!?!? $4 six packs!!!”
“The service was incredible, not a huge crowd at noon (which is what I prefer!) Our server deserves 10 stars but I can only give 5, but she got a good tip for sure ?? ?”
“The lady that was there at 4am when I went in after I got off work, was not all that pleasant but I guess when you work third shift at a truck stop it can be rough. As soon as she finished our sandwiches, she left for a break and we didn't see her the rest of the time we were there. There was a rude couple that came in yelling that there were customers here and they needed service. The counter was not well covered at that moment. We left not wanting to listen to that lady yelling.Parking: Parking is never an issue.”
“I’m sharing this review in the hopes that management somehow sees. We stopped today while on the road and were served by Ricky. It was Father’s Day and my husband, two children, and I were driving home from a family visit out of state. Ricky was so incredibly kind to us all and it was just so touching to see someone working so hard and also being just so sweet to our kids and to us. Ricky - thank you! You were a bright spot in our day today and we wish you the best! ❤️Ricky deserves a raise. Also, the chicken was good. ?”
“Big Catz offers a great menu. I have been very impressed with the food and service everytime I have been there. The food is always hot and delicious. Big Catz is definitely a sports themed establishment. I enjoy the ambiance and the memorabilia displayed. The biggest shout out to Big Catz is their community service and involvement.”
“The Frappes are made perfectly at the Knoxville McDonald's and the employees were Happy or at least pretended to be ? too help us customers. And the restrooms were clean ”
“This place is family owned and they are very friendly and have a great selection of delicious ice cream. Went there with my grandkids, back in 2015 and never went to another place. Mr. Lim, the original owner, and his wife were like childhood friends for me and my family, and his passing was very sad to me and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His son is running the business now, and like his daddy, he is very friendly. God bless him , his mom and all the family.”
“I love this little place. Sometimes the drinks can be a little sweet, depending on what you get. But, you can always request to have it less sweet if need be. The people working here are so nice and the atmosphere is super cool and cozy. I love going here for my lunches. They get things done quick. ✨️⌛️Vegetarian options: Their pastries are super yummy. They also have fruit and different kinds of soups! ? ?Dietary restrictions: They have non-dairy milk options for your coffee. I've noticed that not every coffee place does here in Galesburg. It makes me feel included. ✨️?”
“Brilliant! This is exactly the kind of dining experience our family has been seeking. We enjoyed it so much that we went twice in one week. The staff is amazingly friendly and kind, and we love watching them prep and make pizzas. The menu is full of great options, and there is always a daily special written on the wall. Speaking of walls, it is a chalkboard masterpiece! We spent our waiting time listening to music from the record player while drawing randomly on the walls with chalk. So cool! We've had garlic bread and and various pizzas. The crust is a perfect balance of crisp and fluff, and the flavors are so fulfilling. Drinks are mostly served in cans or bottles, and there is a water dispenser for easy free refills in the dining area.Vegetarian options: Their pizzas are fabulous, and I love the variety of meat-free options. The spinach and artichoke pizza (add Kalamata olives) is my fave!Parking: There is some street parking available, but this is a busy section of shops. I recommend going a block west or south and using the free parking lots available. You cam also park along Main Street and walk a block.Kid-friendliness: From flexible menu options to chalkboard walls, this is a fun and family-friendly space!Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is a single level right off of the sidewalk with one doorway. The dining area is spacious with various chair-height table options. Bathrooms are also spacious.”
“I love all the gluten free options here! The spinach bisque is divine, so luscious and creamy. I tried the crispy polenta stack and it did not disappoint. And who can resist a crepe for dessert?”
“In summary: Typical bar grill atmosphere with better than normal food and an excellent server.Food I sampled: rueben tacos (5 stars), cajun pork and rice (my meal; 4.5 stars rice was a bit bland but they had soy sauce), fried mushrooms ( 4 stars), provolone cheese logs( 3.5 stars needs better dipping options) and fries (5 stars great large cut with crumble fries)”
“Had a Princess Lolly Lotus beverage and it was delicious! My only issue is how sweet it is. I drank it down to 3/4 and then topped it off with Tangerine La Croix which made the drink easier to sip on. I will be back!”
“Today, I had the pleasure of dining in this lovely family owned restaurant. The atmosphere was quaint and beautiful. I met the sweet owner and daughter that run the restaurant, and they were delightful and made my day. The food was fresh, homemade, and delicious. I enjoyed trying a new style of authentic Asian cuisine, and I enjoyed everything that I tried! I honestly can't wait to go back because I'm already craving some more dumplings, ramen, bulgogi, kimchi, etc.! If you get a chance, stop through while you can because it is a truly wonderful experience and if you like food this is a place you should visit!!!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly! They had no problem accommodating the children! It was a completely accepting of kids! So don't let no babysitter hold you back! Bring those kids ?.”
“First time ever eating here and I am super impressed with the menu, atmosphere, and staff! Love how you walk in and are automatically transformed into a whole different era and time. Lots of old knick Knacks, comfortable seating, quick service. Lots and lots of history here. I highly recommend the Coney Dog!”
“I wasn't expecting much from a drive-thru coffee shack but I was totally impressed with their drinks! I had a long day ahead of me so I got both a flavored latté and one of their energy drinks. Both were insanely delicious and got me through my day!The staff was also extremely nice and courteous and gave my dog a pup cup! I like that both sides of the shop are open to patrons so that traffic can come from either direction. There's also a giant QR code on the side of the building so you can check out the menu before you get to the ordering window. Brilliant!”
“I absolutely love this tavern!! The owners are fantastic people and every time I go there I have a ton of fun. Plus, theyre bringing back karoake in this area which I love!!”
“I love the daily Loin & Shake special. The workers are sometimes a little snotty though. Yesterday the time was really short. The only complaint is like i said , sometimes the employees are ”
“I am always searching for a fun treat for our vegan friends and it was so nice to be able to delight them!! They said the flavor was wonderful and the consistency was excellent!I have dietary restrictions, so it was a huge and delicious treat for me as well!I drove from Quad Cities and I will do it again. Thanks, SS!!”
“The perfect little neighborhood ice cream shack. I love that they offer the rotating flavors of the Dole soft serve; it’s great to have a dairy free option. Everything else on the menu is delicious as well, and the prices are reasonable. The line outside moves fast.”
“I got an order of Bun bo hue, shrimp Rangoon with sauce and a Thai tea and everything was great! The bun bo hue was a nice level of spice and it came with a packet of cayenne sauce to add an extra little kick if you want. The beef tendon was really tender and everything seemed very fresh. The portions were generous, definitely enough for two if you're willing to share. I have kind of a weird bubble tea order and they got it perfect and it arrived still ice cold. I'm absolutely ordering from here again, I recommend it to anyone who wants to get some good Pho locally.”
“Our lil home town gem. Really if u haven't been there u must! Even for a cup of coffee, it truly is the best of the best when it comes to a charming lil cafe style restaurant. Lots of light, friendly people and excellent food!Give it a try,Tina, Tinlee & Papa”
“Picked up a couple tenderloins for Lunch. They've always been tasty here. I like the old dinner atmosphere. Service & prices are good. I need to stop here more often.”
“My favorite place to visit in Galesburg. The atmosphere is calming and warm, everyone there is so friendly, the food is delicious! I specifically recommend getting their London Fog drink.”
“Judy's is a casual breakfast spot that isn't much to look at but has such a welcoming atmosphere and absolutely delicious food! Plus, the staff and Judy herself are the sweetest - we enjoy coming in for chitchat alongside our breakfasts. Highly recommend any of the omelettes, and they come with toast and a ton of hashbrowns. The skillets are also pretty great and you can't go wrong with their pancakes. Only downside is that you aren't able to order any mimosas as they do not offer alcohol.”
“My favorite restaurant in Galesburg for both the people who work there & their patrons. The food & the service are terrific & you can't eat a better meal or for a lower price.”
“I got the T-Lee Smashburger, and honestly it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. This place deserves its flowers and more attention because I will be coming back. Also, I got free gummy bears from the owner, so a huge A+ to Double Play!”
“1st trip to Pz's. There were 4 of us. The petite Filet was excellent, the baked sweet potato was so good. The place was clean & looked freshly painted. The couple we were with had the prime rib & the Walleye. We will definitely go back soon.”
“They are so nice it smells so good and after 10XL you can get one free with a punch cardKid-friendliness: On Fridays after school a lot of kids go there and their drinks aren't expensive for 1 person”
