Great place...nice people! We bought gift certificate at wrong Sammies. I called and explained to young man. I anticipated a "problem" but when I arrived, he returned my money without a problem. That's a class (and kind) act.
I grew up on the North West side by Portage Pk. and we used to ride our bikes to Sammies little stand to buy "Gravy Bread" for a quarter. It was French bread dipped in the beef juice it was cheap and we loved it. But when your talking HOT DOGS I might be partial but Sammie's WINS HANDS DOWN! Other joints might have hand cut fries but Sammie's adds an extra condiment that as far as I know no one else adds, no it's NOT KETCHUP.
