50 Best Pizza Restaurants near Lakemoor

“I've placed 4 large catering orders from Rosatis in Lakemoor. My most recent being yesterday. They never disappoint. Everything is always ready on time and delicious. We got so many compliments on the food at our party. They helped me carry it to the car. Keep up the good work! Appreciate you guys!“

“5/26/26 - dinner with friends! I had the Alamo chicken sandwich. Per the menu - marinated, grilled chicken breast with cheddar cheese, Bacon on Texas Toast and Parmesan fries. It sounds really good! When I got it it was cut in half and I noticed that there was a slice of tomato 🍅 melted into the cheese on the chicken breast. But I hate tomatoes and it was a good thing that I am not allergic to them. Had it been on the menu I would have made sure that I didn't order it. Anyways also there was very little BBQ sauce and the chicken breast was dry and tough to chew. Also I ordered Parmesan fries 🍟 and they were just plain fries.
Usually when I am out by myself I definitely would have sent it back. But since I was with friends I didn't want to make them wait any longer.“

“great atmosphere,quick and friendly.“

“First time there. It’s a 30 minute drive, but we plan to go back. Best ingredients done to perfection. We have loved Lou Malnati’s , but this is equal to if not better. Our family agreed. They drove 1 1/2 hours and said they would come back“

“Great Fox river supper club with a bar next to their dock. We ate this evening and Rachael was our server. What a great server that added to our delicious food! We highly recommend Kiefs and ask for Rachael as your server. You won't be disappointed!“

“Hidden in plain sight in Lake Villa, this Italian restaurant is the kind of unassuming neighborhood gem critics quietly root for. It isn’t flashy, it isn’t loud, and it doesn’t pretend to be anything other than what it is: a place that consistently serves excellent food at fair prices. In the Lakes region—where Italian options can feel uneven—this spot rises confidently to the top. On my most recent visit, I was seated immediately at a corner table, a small but meaningful luxury in an age of hour-long waits. The dining room, typically hushed enough for actual conversation, again delivered one of its underrated pleasures: a peaceful meal without the intrusive din that plagues so many suburban restaurants. Service followed suit—friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to help, never hovering or rushing. The kitchen remains the star. My spaghetti with vodka sauce was outstanding—rich, balanced, and among the best renditions I’ve had anywhere in the region. Other entrées at the table echoed the same strengths: sauces with clarity and depth, pastas cooked with confident restraint, portions generous without tipping into excess. Cocktails, too, arrived promptly and properly mixed, further reinforcing the sense of a kitchen-and-bar team that takes pride in their craft. If there is a shortfall, it lies in the ambiance. The room carries a certain charm, but the décor feels a step behind the quality of the food. A refresh of tables, finishes, and overall presentation would elevate the experience from very good to genuinely special. The warmth is there—the aesthetics simply haven’t caught up yet. Even so, the value proposition is undeniable. For reliably excellent Italian cuisine, low noise, easy seating, earnest service, and honest pricing, this restaurant more than earns its “highly recommended” status. It is, in every meaningful way, Lake Villa’s little culinary treasure.“

“We went there for the first time over the weekend. Everything was delicious and everyone was so nice! We’ll be back.“

“Tonight we held a work meeting and ordered 2 family trays, everyone was working so hard when I picked up my order, even a little early, and they were all so friendly, helpful and this food was delicious! Thank you for doing such a great job for us!!“

“We hosted an end of the season tackle football banquet for 50 people in the party room at JJ Twig’s in Wauconda tonight. Tiffany was a dream to work with — super responsive, accommodating, and had great insight into just how much food to order. The party room was the perfect private venue that allowed our rambunctious group of 10 year old boys some space to roam without disturbing other diners. Food was good — we ordered pizzas, baked mostaccioli, meatballs, chicken tenders and salad. Compared to other local venues we considered, JJ Twig’s is a real value. Along with the good food and great service, JJ Twig’s is the full package!“

“First time trying Tony V’s Pizzeria. The thin crust supreme was delicious! 😋 It had just the right amount of ingredients on it. I would highly recommend this place!“

“This place is an absolute gem. Oldest pizza place in McHenry county, and a lot of history related to the owners, recipe, and the pie as it is now. The woman running the place is awesome to talk to and really knows her stuff. Do not pass on the opportunity to try this place out if you can, and get your pizza well done!“

“I ran into the Giordano’s off Lake St and Michigan Ave tonight just to get quarters for parking (unfortunately we had already eaten somewhere else). I gotta say that the staff was SO NICE and so kind about it that next time I’m over that way I will be eating there just because of the interactions I had tonight with a few staff members. As a non-customer tonight they didn’t have to help me out but they did and did it happily and were all super friendly. Even the manager (who was absolutely adorable) helped out by getting out a roll of quarters so that I had enough for the parking machine/box. Thank you all for the help tonight. I really did appreciate it!“

“The young lady at the cash register Jarely is a fantastic customer service person. She is always so friendly on the phone taking your order and then very friendly and attentive when you arrive to pick up your pizza. We go to this ROSATI location all the time and she has always been very friendly and receptive.“

“Loved Rachael , great service with an enthusiastic attitude . Hope we get her next time. Pizza deal on Monday great deal wings sauce was a bit sweet but we'll try traditional buffalo hot sauce next time. Fast drink service by Rachael.“

“Enjoyed your pizza at a friend’s wedding this week. Your pear and prosciutto pizza has to be one of the best pizza creations I have ever had. Wow!!! Absolutely beautiful pizza creations and display! The shrimp ceviche cups, cucumber rolls, everything looked and tasted amazing. You all worked well in the heat and under pressure. Never an empty spot of food on the table for guests to select from. Highly recommend for an event!“

“One of my favorite places in Cary. Great owner, super nice and a great business man. I have tried a few different dishes from here and am obsessed with their caprese salad, chopped salad, buffalo chicken wrap, and their cauliflower crust pizza. They have delivery and also pickup. Their fruit when in season is super fresh and I honestly cant even find that fresh at a grocery store. Sometimes I drive 20 minutes to pick up their super fresh caprese salad and fruit side. Definitely recommend giving this place a shot if you haven't already!!! By far one of my favorite go to in Cary!“

“Great Food, Service, TV’s and drinks!!!“

“In my most humble opinion as a human being, this has been one of if not the most enjoyable experiences of my life. With a lively staff, great cheesy garlic breadsticks (bomb), and well decorated atmosphere it truly out shines the previous pizza shop that used to reside there. 5/5 stars“

“i recently had a disappointing experience at a restaurant that I felt compelled to share. I went there for dinner with my fiancée, mother, and our two young kids, ages 3 and 1. Initially, the dinner was fantastic; we were enjoying our time together and the food was great. However, after about an hour and 20 minutes, we were abruptly told we had to leave because of other reservations. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since I still had my drink left, and we had just paid our tab As we were leaving, we encountered a manager and inquired about the situation. To our shock, she responded by asking if we knew how to read English, which felt incredibly rude and unprofessional. I pulled up my reservation online and nowhere does it say there was a time limit. To make matters worse, as we walked through the bar to exit, she followed my mother and physically shoved her three times. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in any establishment, and it left a sour taste in what could have been a lovely evening. We called the cops to make a report as the manager "lucy" (she told me this was her name) should never be able to touch a customer. Especially since we were not refusing to leave AND my kids were there to witness it all. In the car my son kept asking why the lady pushed my mom . This shouldn't be something I need to answer as it never should have happened. She tried telling the cops she did not have the "intent" to hurt but to get us out . Yet we were not even refusing to leave...only letting her know it was rude as we still had stuff that was unfinished that we paid for. I understand that restaurants have to manage reservations, but there are respectful ways to handle these situations. Additionally, she left it up to the waiter to tell us we had to leave . I won't be returning, and I hope this feedback helps others make an informed decision. And please , if you were in the bar / restaurant when this all happened , speak up on how wrong it was of her to push someone like that.“

“DELISH!!!! The Chicago Classic is a MUST HAVE! And the service is great :-)“

“This is our go-to place for gluten-free pizza. As opposed to another popular nearby pizza place, the crust is actually fully baked. The GF crust is decent. Not as good as real crust, but better than others in the area. As with any GF pizza, I’d recommend eating it all the first night, as it’s never as good reheated.“

“This is a hidden gem.We love this place. The food is terrific. The service as always, is fantastic The bartenders are great. They have a couple of Golf simulators In the back which is really cool. A fireplace in the front, which is nice in the winter. A comfortable and relaxing place to have a couple of drinks or maybe some food or both can't say good enough things. You will not be disappointed ..A+“

“Great atmosphere and amazing food - including not only the pizza, but their pasta dishes and appetizers. It’s our go to restaurant when we want pizza/pasta, or to enjoy live entertainment.“

“We had the pleasure to dine here multiple times. Best Pizza we have had. Owners and staff are very friendly. Hope to get there again someday!“

“I don’t know what it is, but something about Dinos pizza makes me crave it over all other local pizza. Thanks to the chef who makes an amazing pizza!“

“I almost always get the vegetarian with sausage. It's GREAT!! The ratio of vegetables to sausage is perfect. I found Jimano's after the last place I used to regular changed their sausage supplier. Doing so ruined the whole pizza. Now I'm staying with Jimano's, (until they mess with perfection).“

“Such a great bar and good food! Sam Is my favorite bartender! She’s always so attentive whether it’s crazy busy or a slower time! She always makes customers feel seen and their needs met! Definitely will be back!!“

“We came here got a beefs a burger and fries. The fries were old and super salty. & the burger was very plain and dry. Usually I don’t complain about the food because I been coming here for years but it just wasn’t good at all this time.“

“Good food, good service, cool place to hang if you're not gaming“
