They were sold out before 9am. My daughter and I went at 830 on a Friday and were disappointed to see only about 20 donuts left. It seems they fill orders for local businesses etc, but there isn't much left for walk in customers to select from. This isn't the first time it has happened to us either.
Seems Mel-O-Cream has been getting some unsavory reviews lately and I am wondering why? I had them for the very first time today and all I can say is, what is wrong with you bad reviewers with your obviously non pleasing personas? Opinions are one thing but do you even have tastebuds? These doughnuts were the best I've ever had and I'll write that on a billboard. Quit trying to destroy a Lincoln tradition all because of unreasonable expectations. Just got a donut at their new location and it tasted better than all the other Mel-O-Cream donuts I’ve had before! The store was very clean. They are now open until 7:00 every day of the week. The owner told us that if they are out of a specific kind of donut you like, you can ask them to make it in the back because they fill and ice all their donuts there.
