Steak 'n Shake Reviews
The quality of our local steak and shakes have significantly improved along with the staff. Much cleaner, tastes better, and even seems more filling than it used to. On top of that the new company policies like banning microwaves, beef tallow for their fried goods, and grass fed beef for the burgers. It went downhill a while ago but I can definitely say it has done a complete 360 and has honestly been one of our families favorite quick fast food locations now. Definitely better...read full review
This place peaked decades ago and has now settled for being a meme that serves trash. Courting MAGA means they know they’ll be out of business in 2-3 years and are milking it until then. Eat at your own risk.
Steak ‘n Shake is a disgusting company and hopefully will join The Rapist in the toilet of life soon.
Also, the food is gross. The two times I’ve tried it, I felt I was eating dog food formed into the shape of a patty. The meat has a strange texture. Not sure it’s truly beef.

Steak 'n Shake offers delicious food and great service, with a cool chef who engages in conversation. However, the experience is now influenced by the self-checkout kiosk and the absence of traditional wait staff, creating a different atmosphere. Recently, customers have experienced issues with the electronic systems being down, making it difficult to place orders and get refills. The restaurant now relies heavily on QR codes and touchscreens for ordering, which some find off-putting and a decline from the family-friendly environment of the past. Despite these changes, the food remains tasty and is prepared quickly, with favorites like the butter garlic double burger and banana shake still standing out. However, some reviews mention that the quality of food has declined over the years, and the new system can sometimes hamper simple requests like soda refills.
