“Inexpensive home cooked to order- delish biscuits and gravy says my husband, my eggs cooked just right (I like lightly basted - yolks runny whites hard), the off the bone ham, grilled and just so tasty, pancakes are a bit fall apart, but the home cooked taste is just right.. extra hot water for my tea before I asked... Great job! We’ll def be back!!!“

“This place is great! I come here often because my boyfriend plays music here with his bands. The food is amazing! The fries are my favorite. There’s also a really great server here every time I come. I don’t know his name, but he has long black hair that is usually tied back. He’s really nice to me. And he doesn’t judge me for my neurodivergent tendencies lol like wearing sound canceling headphones and stimming. He’s my favorite person that works here. Also, my boyfriend enjoys playing here. It’s beautiful inside and out. It’s really clean too. It also doesn’t get too crazy here. It’s family friendly. I’m not sure what ages are allowed, but I’ve seen some kids in here before. Highly recommend this place!

“This is s good deli, today I had the corned beef on rye with yellow mustard. The waiter asked if I wanted the regular or the large, of course I asked for the large. The meat was moist and tasted great, and let me say this, I didn't leave hungry. It was big! The pickles were great too. I should have ordered the latke too, next time I did have a cup of excellent kreplach soup.“

Food is cheap, atmosphere is friendly, owner is super nice, they even have a selection of mild to spicy sauces that’s huge and some of them they even made themselves. That Yummi sauce sure is Yummy. Give this place a shot you won’t be disappointed.“

“Recently celebrated a 70th birthday with the D'Alexander family. What a great event. The staff could not have been nicer, and attentive. You only thought you might need something at the table and it would appear out of no where. The food was all home made and you could tell made from traditional old recipes and a lot of love thrown in. You feel like you are in a small cafe in Italy. If you want a great Italian dining experience please take the time to enjoy Made In Italy, because my wife and I plan to go back.“

We even got a complimentary meal from the Executive Chef so he didn’t waste the plate after taking pictures of his new special. To say the food was amazing is an understatement. “One of our party was in a wheelchair and the staff was very accommodating providing a suitable table, straw for drinking and spoons for cutlery. We were seated in a quiet location and were able to converse easily. Our appetizer special of roasted brussel sprouts was very tasty and easily shared by four. The entrees were very good and portions large enough for take home. Overall we had a very pleasant experience with excellent service.“

I didn’t get the man’s name that took my order and I asked him to make me a hot sandwich….he suggested the Italian beef ….he did ask if I wanted to sit inside while they made sandwich but I just waited outside but appreciated his invite. The sandwich was delicious and the aujus he added to dip sandwich in was excellent. Serinos was my first meal in Chicago area….I highly recommend and look forward to enjoying another meal there soon.“

They have a great staff and the place is always clean with lots of parking. If you're looking for a quick and tasty Sloppy Joe on the go they have that too. Portillo's is for tourists. Mickey's is for the people!“

“We have always enjoyed VT but this was poorly managed. We came in on a Wednesday and ask to sit at a booth. The booth they sat us at was right next to a party they had going on. And people were standing right at the edge of the booth and was extremely loud. Why they didn't put the party separated in the empty section by the bar would be more appropriate. It seems they were over the limit on the one side. So we asked to move to a booth that was empty. They said we couldn't move to that booth as it wasn't open. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere.“
