“I was very impressed with Diamond Nails. For the basic $35 manicure they took great care of my feet, gave me a great massage and pedicure, and the massage chairs are wonderful! The owner is very dedicated, she is the one who did my pedicure. They give you a nice little neck massage at the end too, very pampering. I highly recommend Diamond Nails!“
“Lori was easy to talk to about details and my expectations. The buttercream was good, although a hint of almond may have given it a more refined flavor (Lori no longer eats/tries her buttercream, as she had " so much of it throughout the years". I gave her an idea of a hint of a peach color and she obliged with simple roses of that color. The cake was tastie and tastefully decorated for our 37th Anniversary combined with 2dz. cupcakes for 60th Birthday. (The spiced cupcakes were the favorite of our guests.) I will consider her for future gatherings.The only thing I wish had been different was that she could've delivered for us, as I had to pick it up by myself on that busy day and we have curvy roads toward our home. So, I did have a bit of a "slide" into the box, which was NOT tall enough or lodged tightly enough for the cake not to slide to one side. Thankfully, I was able to turn it slightly for placement on my cakestand and most people didn't notice the faux pas. I did listen and abide by the directions to refrigerate before the beginning of the party. And I didnt add it to our decor until about a half hour before cake cutting time. Also, I added my original cake topper to it with a signage of "Mr&Mrs" from the Party Store in Champaign.“
“I absolutely adore this donut shop! The variety of unique flavors is simply outstanding, and every single donut looks utterly irresistible. Personally, I'm a huge fan of their Yeast Doughnuts; they strike the perfect balance, not too dense like the cake ones. Plus, having coffee and Matcha available is always a delightful bonus. The Girl Scouts Samoas special was a definite highlight for me, but I couldn't resist trying the Orange Pistachio as well, and it was pure bliss. Highly recommend stopping by for a tasty treat!“
“A friend and I wanted to check out the new location of Lucky Moon for lunch on a Friday. I was struck by their huge assortment of muffins, pies, cookies, cake pops on the counter, the cooler of ready to eat slices of quiche, and even a little shelf with homemade dog treats. I grabbed a quiche and they offered to put it on a (real!) plate and warm it up for me. I also had a nice size (real!) mug of coffee and a splash of half & half. It was just the right amount of food for a light lunch. My one suggestion would be to consider a side salad to round out the health factor, but it’s a bakery not a restaurant. My friend is a nice mom and she ordered some super cute cake pops for her kid’s after school snack. I gave into peer pressure and grabbed my kids a chocolate cookie with a marshmallow covered in chocolate. My kids loved them! The atmosphere is super cute and there was a steady flow of people coming and going with all kinds of delicious treats. The frosting to my visit was when Emily refilled my coffee, and even brought the half & half. She’s sweet like that!Vegetarian options: A vegetarian would be able to find something to enjoy on any given day. I’m not sure about vegan, though.
