“Hopscotch is our go-to for a light breakfast. The croissants are stellar and on par with those I've had in Paris. We do not leave without taking some of the Ham and Havarti croissants home with us. They encased the perfect amounts of ham, cheese, and mustard in a flaky pastry garnished with Everything Bagel seasoning on top. I love that they have a very European sensibility on the amount of meat and cheese that are meant to be a flavoring in a pastry and not a grotesque monstrosity that is American portions. Their scones are on par with their croissants, light and with a perfect crumb, neither too biscuit-ish nor too cookie-ish! The cupcakes are sublime - no notes. The service is exceptional, friendly and efficient. And we absolutely love the cozy, welcoming, funky neighborhood vibe. I wish we had more places where we feel immediately at home.“

“First visit to Martinelli’s: we tried their pesto bruschetta focaccia pizza, and the turkey Reuben. The pizza was perfection - a great balance of flavors! Totally worth $5.95 a slice. The sandwich was a generous portion, nice flavors, and the bread was golden. Excellent meal, and worth the money! Also, the staff was very friendly and the space welcoming.“

“As a Bay Area resident, the bubble tea here needs a bit more flavor to really compare well to the best of the best but I really like the ordering experience here. The kiosks are super easy to use and the kitchen is super fast. The dining area gets pretty crowded quickly so you're really best off taking out and eating in the comfort of your own dorm room ;)“
