“I was in town for a baseball tournament and we stayed at an Airbnb nearby. We went around 9:30 on a Saturday morning, it was busy but we were seated within a few minutes. Our server was very friendly, the food came out fast & hot, was delicious. For 4 of us to eat/drinks, it was only $41! Definitely would go back to this little gem.“

“I patron this establishment often for parties, and to order the Oyster Rockefeller, along with drinks. I can’t really say what my favorite drinks are, possibly the Rum Punch. The prices are reasonably affordable, and the portions are fulfilling. Staff is friendly, and gives detailed descriptions of the menu. The shrimp is also delectable.“

“The biscuits and gravy supreme breakfast was the best plate I’ve ever had at an establishment hands down. Their Mountain Dew fountain soda tastes super fresh & you can tell they keep the lines clean. Michelle took great care of us and was very personable and helpful. The cook made the hash browns crispy like we ordered them. Highly recommend this spot!!! Will return!!!!“

“After a 14 hour day I’m looking to grab a quick bite and hit the sheets before I get up and do it again. Head to Culver’s and the drive thru is wrapped around the parking lot. Reluctantly, I decide to stay. After waiting about 2 minutes, a young man walks up and I roll down my window. He explains he would like to take my order to speed the process. This guy has the BEST attitude and demeanor,takes my order and in about 6-7 minutes I’m on my way. Culver’s knocked others out of the park with this service and their people are SO well trained and customer focused. Great job!“

“stopped by for lunch, we got the crispy brussel sprouts, herb foccacia chicken sandwich, tomato vodka chicken rigatoni and french onion soup to eat; a stormy night, and a permenent vacation to drink. everything blew us away. would rate 6/5 if i could. wish Brickstone Brewery was closer to where we live, itd be a regular stop. very reasonably priced and we both left with leftovers.“

“They have such a welcoming crew. When you walk in, you get a welcome in and smile each and every time! I have had many items on their menu, and have never been disappointed!! My last advice is try the Campfire Sauce on anything, its homemade and delish!!“

“Amazing little place!
I had the country eggs Benedict. And it was fantastic. They gave a good amount of sausage and eggs and the food was delicious. The orange juice felt a bit store-bought but still very refreshing.
No complaints whatsoever!
I highly recommend that you stop by if you're busy!“

“Ordered pizza and it said 90 minutes for delivery which was fine. However received a call from a staff member asking if I would like it sooner as they were not that busy. I so appreciate that they called to verify this and got me my pizza way sooner. The pizza was delicious and the delivery driver so friendly. Also now that they have online ordering it’s sooo much easier. Wish they would have set this up years ago. 10/10 for service and food!“

“Stopped in here on our way to the Chicago area for the evening and was looking for something before we got into the City. A little off of the path from the interstate but well worth it! My friends had pretzel bites and a burger with fries respectively, i had frog legs (not something you often see on a menu in this area) and my wife had a steak sandwich. Everything was great. Its not a large place and wasn't busy at the time but the service was excellent as well. We don't travel north that often but i would definitely recommend to a traveler looking for something different and familiar at the same time.“

“Happy Pig has very reliable food and a great atmosphere.
Justin is usually bartender when I go in. And the way he serves everyone with such great care and personability is top tier. I say this having worked the same position myself.
He is taking care of everyone at the bar, as well as making all of the servers drinks at the same time- all while keeping a professional ere with his interactions the entire time. I was there this morning and he handled everything masterfully, it was very impressive.
I'd recommend the Hoppy Pig generall but with staff like Justin it makes it a 5 star.“

“We have to travel to Chicago often and try to stop at different places to eat on the way home. We found this place in Kankakee yesterday. afterbreading some reviews, we decided to stop. The food was excellent! salad bar was cold, fresh and everything was good. soup was homemade and good. The chicken was excellent! restaurant was nice and clean and the waiter was very friendly and attentive. Give it a try!!!“

“This place has evolved over the years. They’ve gotten rid of the high tops thankfully and made it easier for us older people to have a nice meal in addition to wine and other libations. Alessandro does a magnificent job in the back of the house cooking very creatively. The service is always courteous and helpful. I guess because of our schedules we don’t eat here as often as we’d like. But we really love the food. We have to go back a couple of more times with new ownership to get a full flavor of current offerings.“

“Stopped in for the buy one get one ham bone deal they have. They staff that was working was so sweet and kind and the quality of the ham bones was really good!
