“The food was fantastic! But that $30+ price isn't. The condiment bottles at each table were disgusting so they need to clean them. Other than that I'd recommend this place, but not often because of the price. There was not 1 person eating there other than me and I know it's because of the price because the food is good.“
“Let me just say this, they never disappoint! My husband and I have tried several items off the menu and we are always and I do mean always satisfied. The food here is always very flavorful and the portions definitely leaves you with left overs. Her chicken is the best I’ve had from any restaurant in the city for sure! “We arrived here after an overnight stay at the water park. My granddaughter had worked up an appetite and she wanted some Salmon. They didn’t have Salmon but they had catfish. We got a catfish dinner and a grilled wing dinner greens, yams, Mac and cheese. The catfish and greens were fantastic. She gave me a thumbs up, she ate two servings of greens and both fillets of catfish. I ordered the grilled wings but they wreaked of lighter fluid or chemicals, I was a bit disappointed, I ate the Mac and cheese and the yams and both corn breads but I am definitely going to sample it before I leave next time because I know they had to do know, if I’m not mistaken I think I saw the “grilled “ wings sitting in a gravy or something. Anyway we would definitely go back to give them another try.Update:I went back to give the baked wings a redo and they were the bomb as well as The greens, the Mac, the yams and the dressing but what stood out the most was the hospitality. That southern hospitality from way back in the day.. It reminded me of my trips to Mississippi when I was a child.“
“Update:I was able to order via UberEats. The food was delicious! I ordered catfish (fried) and mac n cheese, rice and beans, and greens. The catfish was huge and filling. The mac n cheese was creamy and cheesy. The rice and beans could have had more rice, but it was good. I will visit again.This review is based off of ordering experience, as I have not been able to try their food. Tried to order on their website Chow Now. Put my credit card info in and the screen goes gray after I click submit. Refreshed the screen, re-entered my credit card and the same thing happens. Ugh, tried to call to see if the order went through and no one answered. It doesn’t appear to have charged my card but it’s unfortunate that this is my first experience trying to place an order. “Very friendly and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Food was delicious 1/2 Henny chicken, green beans & potatoes, and macaroni & cheese) and seasoned perfectly, except for the bed of rice that the 1/2 Henny chicken was served on. I will return, but I'll ask for extra Henny sauce on the chicken. I am particular about macaroni & cheese, and this was perfect. Black-owned establishment as well.“
“I had a repast at Bea's Kitchen and the experience was flawless. I decided to have the brunch instead of choosing individual items. Everyone kept mentioning how impressed they were with everything. The staff was patient and organized. We had right at 100 guests and the owner allowed us to rent the entire resturant and over flow room. This allowed for plenty of space and privacy during our delicate time. Everyone was comfortable and definitely well feed. The food was delicious. We didn't have to worry about food being delivered to a reception hall nor any clean up. This location provided everything for our family and loved ones. The space itself is a whole vibe. “Let’s start with the food it has to be probably the most perfectly cooked clean food. I have to also give some props for the customer service, there’s always a sweet young man working in the front that never fails to assist in any way. Atmosphere is inevitable to not be the best as in a 5 star restaurant although for chicken and fish and chicken shop it has to be by far the finest I’ve walked into. For everyone whose has the cravings or interest for any delicious fried food I’d highly recommend.!“
“Best j*** chicken I've ever had. Portions are large but great for the price. Also have a lot of good specials the ribs tips are fantastic , and watch out for the chicken and waffles yoy might want to share it with someone as the waffle is huge.“
